2/ As this movement is leaderless, I think this honor belongs to #HKProtesters. 2019 is the watershed in #hongkong's history. In the past 6 months, #HKers have been fighting hard with tears, sweat and blood. 6000 of us were arrested, 1,000 persecuted and more crackdowns underway.

9/ 8936 #HKers were put under arrest by #hkpolice during #HKProtest since 2019 with 1808 of them prosecuted. For those charged with rioting, the figure is 612. Just a coincidence, 6.12 was was the day when half million HKers took to streets to oppose the evil extradition in 2019.

5/ Without effective checks & balances, #Policeviolence will just prevail without consequences. Under #China’s iron fist, #policebrutality becomes unerasable, only paving way to authoritarianism. It's the reason why #HKers' cause for democracy is only way to bring justice to HK.

6. In fact, throughout #hkprotests last year, #HKers were reportedly subject to brutal tortures in detention centres. As #nationalsecuritylaw allows indefinite detention w/o trials and bail, it is worrying that this kind of Chinese-style black prison will become prevalent in #HK.
