3/ The proposed national security agency is like the #secretpolice branch in HK. The biggest concern is arbitrary & political interpretation of the law, When using the law in China, lawyers, reporters, NGOs, religious groups were accused of “inciting subversion”.
5/ For a long time, HK has been treated by Beijing as a white glove port for importing sensitive strategic commodities. Once the law is implemented, a #secretpolice agency and a #CCP-led China’s court will be imposed upon this global business centre.
2/ Today’s decision is a direct assault on the will of #HKers. China is scrapping its promise of autonomy under the Joint Declaration, a legally binding international treaty, & burying 1Country2System when a #secretpolice agency can enforce #China’s laws within territory of HK.
4/ With the ill-defined law interpretation and a #secretpolice agency imposed in #HK, the law will harm all foreign interests and ex-pats in this global city. #Xijinping proposed in 2017 that China’s #nationalsecurity covers economic and social aspects.
8/ Once #secretpolice agency is imposed, & once the ill-defined law is enforced, it will only spark more public outcry. To protect HK prosperity that all European companies now enjoy, Germany as influential leaders in EU, needs to take actions instead of only expressing concerns.
3/ Under the new law, the #secretpolice agency is just the first step for more China’s direct control. As Section 4 of the law reads “Central government can base on needs to set up institutions in HK to uphold #nationalsecurity.”
4. The law is just the stepping stone for more interventions from #Beijing. With its ill-defined scope, the law will doubtlessly become the new weapon to crush dissents. With the new #secretpolice agency, Beijing can enforce #China's law in the territory of #HK.
6/ It’s doubtful whether those Chinese labs can refuse to hand over their DNA data if #Beijing insists on taking the data. Not to mention that #China has already stationed its #secretpolice agency in #HongKong under #nationalsecuritylaw.
[I was tailed by #secretpolice agents again. This time crazier] 1/ Even after #HK’s election was cancelled, #secretpolice stalking has intensified. Today when I met with friends in one building, several unknown agents have lingered outside......

4. Most horrifying thing is, while this time it's an unknown woman waiting for us, next time would that be #secretpolice? In the past, we DID have cases that businessmen were kidnapped by #China's agents right in the heart of #HK, such as Xiao Jianhua and bookseller Lee Bo.
