In Fort Portal, it was a hailstorm of bullets and teargas as police & the military tried to prevent people from coming out to listen to our message! Despite all this, many people weathered the storm and turned up! Thank you. Uganda is ready for change!

Today we remember over 100 innocent citizens murdered last year on the streets of Kampala and other areas in Uganda, on the orders of Gen. Museveni. The burden on us is to struggle on, and put a complete end to extrajudicial killings.

The military has increased deployment around my home. No one is allowed to leave or enter. Our security guard and gardener have been violently arrested, beaten and bundled into 'drones' outside our gate. Their phones confiscated.

In Kyenjojo, blocked from accessing town. Taken to a place deep in the village. We're followed everywhere by teargas trucks, police pick-ups with soldiers, mini-buses which effect arrests etc. All meant to scare people, but PEOPLE are refusing to submit!

For over a week now, this activist called Nakimanya Hellen aka Aunt Kaduuka has been under illegal detention at SID Kireka! She was violently arrested, apparently for using social media to expose the dictatorship! The 48 hour rule totally ignored.
