Our government agencies are closely monitoring the new coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China, & we are taking all necessary measures to prevent its spread. I ask that all citizens & travelers to #Taiwan take added care of their health & follow these steps:
It was a pleasure to speak with you, @SenCoryGardner, & as always I am grateful for your friendship & the support of the #US Congress. #Taiwan will continue to be a staunch partner in advocating for democratic values as we work together to realize a free & open #IndoPacific. twitter.com/SenCoryGardner…
As a member of the international community, we ask that #China share information with us regarding the #Wuhan coronavirus. I firmly believe that our people’s right to health should come before all political considerations, & #Taiwan deserves to participate in @WHO proceedings.
Today I had an opportunity to thank #EU Office Head Filip @grzegorzewskif for his support for #Taiwan including our participation in @WHO. I look forward to working with him to deepen our bilateral partnership & strengthen economic & trade ties by signing a BIA.

Silencing voices that oppose ICAO’s exclusion of #Taiwan is not the way out! It is really insane that @icao is reportedly blocking accounts, just because of tweets about the need for Taiwan's inclusion.
Supporting #Taiwan’s inclusion in @icao is “communicating misinformation?” 🙈🙉🙊 & then the Taiwan issue will just disappear? No! Taiwan will remain an air traffic hub & the only way to ensure safety is inclusion. JW twitter.com/jessicadrun/st…
I want to thank the #US, #Japan, #Canada, & #StLucia, as well as our friends in the international community, for publicly supporting #Taiwan’s inclusion in the @WHO. Full statement: english.president.gov.tw/NEWS/5969
As a major transportation hub in the #AsiaPacific region, #Taiwan must be included in efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus outbreak. Our medical & public health personnel have both expertise & experience, & our people deserve an equal right to health.
We're fans of @Cooper4SAE. Yes! T.A.I.W.A.N. spells TAIWAN & that’s the name on nearly everyone’s lips when it comes to the country's meaningful @WHO participation. Thank you, @JustinTrudeau, for urging #Taiwan's WHA observer status. Politics mustn’t jeopardize #HealthForAll. twitter.com/Cooper4SAE/sta…
Thank you, @SenCoryGardner, @SenTomCotton, @SenRubioPress, @JohnCornyn, @JimInhofe, @SenatorRomney & @SenTedCruz for urging @DrTedros to grant #Taiwan observer status at @WHO meetings & gatherings. Politics mustn’t factor in the spread of #Coronavirus & jeopardize #HealthForAll.

"We call upon ICAO to reverse its practice of blocking discussion of #Taiwan on Twitter & make clear publicly its understanding that freedom of expression must always supersede political insecurities of member states" @icao, did you read this yet? state.gov/icaos-outrageo…
#HealthForAll & #LeaveNoOneBehind don't apply to #Taiwan. Period. This is wrong & threatens the health of the country's 23 million people. We thank the #US, #Japan, #EU, #Canada & allies for urging Taiwan's @WHO participation. Read Minister Wu's statement. bit.ly/2On1uod
Pleased to personally thank European Chamber (ECCT) Chair Mr. Izzo today for his efforts, & thank the #EU for supporting our @WHO participation. As the #2019nCoV spreads, #Taiwan can play a key role in containing the contagion on the front line of global epidemic prevention.
Minister Wu didn't mince words during our news conference on fallout from the global spread of the new #Coronavirus. @WHO must recognize #Taiwan is Taiwan & stop violating the health rights of the country's 23 million people! Read @Taiwan_Today's article. taiwantoday.tw/news.php?unit=…
I want to thank the representatives from #Eswatini, #Paraguay, & #Guatemala for taking a stand for global health & safety by supporting #Taiwan’s @WHO participation & highlighting ways that #TaiwanCanHelp combat the spread of #2019nCoV.
.@WHO, what's wrong with you? First you called us "Taiwan, China," then you changed to "Taipei." You misreported the confirmed cases, & now you call us "Taipei & Environs." Look! Taiwan is #Taiwan & not any part of the #PRC. JW
I want to take a moment to thank all of the manufacturers who are working hard to keep the people of #Taiwan safe from #2019nCoV. We are continually striving to increase production capacity for face masks to ensure better protection for those who need it most.
Heartfelt thanks to our colleagues at @Taiwan_CDC & the #CECC for providing timely, accurate info through multiple media platforms to help #Taiwan contain #2019nCoV. Transparency is the best way to protect everyone’s right to health, both at home & internationally.
At this critical juncture, #Taiwan’s continued absence from the @WHO has caused countless errors in the handling of the #2019nCoV outbreak.
