Thank you to @POTUS & bipartisan lawmakers in the House & Senate for passing an appropriations bill that reaffirms broad US support for Taiwan. This is yet another milestone for the #Taiwan-#US partnership & contributes greatly to our security & prosperity.
We thank @POTUS for signing into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, authorizing US$3M for the Global Cooperation & Training Framework & containing provisions for the Taiwan Assurance Act of 2020. The bill shows strong support on Capitol Hill for #Taiwan🇹🇼-#US🇺🇸 ties.

Taking our round-island railway is one of the best ways to see #Taiwan, & with recent upgrades, it’s more convenient than ever. I’m always amazed by Taiwan’s scenic beauty, & hope to share it with the world once we’ve beaten the pandemic.
Today we recorded our first domestic case of #COVID19 in 253 days. This is a reminder to everyone in #Taiwan to stay vigilant. It shows that the pandemic is far from over, & that international cooperation is key, because we're all in this together.

Today is the Winter Solstice Festival, or as we call it Dongzhi (#冬至), in #Taiwan. At this time of year, it’s traditional to bundle up with a piping hot bowl of sticky rice balls called tangyuan (湯圓). Hope everyone stays warm & has a wonderful Dongzhi with family & friends.
