After two weeks of incommunicado detention and torture, activist and author Kakwenza Rukirabashaija was secretly brought to court and charged with disturbing the peace of #DictatorMuseveni and his son. His lawyers denied access to him! The impunity!

For perspective, #DictatorMuseveni gave orders that his candidate in Kayunga must be declared at all costs. His tools got to work. Nabbanja (his PM) bribed voters. RDCs arrested our key people. Incredible ballot stuffing. Even then, we maintained a clear 15000 vote difference!

What happened in Kayunga is just a microcosm of what #DictatorMuseveni did in Jan! That's why he switched off the internet & ordered the media to only cover his EC. That's why he abducted thousands and hunted those who had our DR forms! To date, some of them are still in prison.

I have uploaded on Facebook, copies of the original, signed Declaration of Results (DR) forms from Kayunga. The final tally gives us 15,000 votes ahead of #DictatorMuseveni 's candidate. Yet, they had the guts to declare different results!

My home is still surrounded by the military- under house arrest. In Kayunga, #DictatorMuseveni showed up surrounded by military trucks. In Kampala, there's heavy deployment too. The illegitimate regime fears the people. The PEOPLE will eventually win.

Violence meted out on our leaders in Kayunga. Several severely injured. Hon. @ZaakeFrancis has been badly beaten by SFC soldiers and he's now currently admitted at a hospital in Jinja. The most critical question to #DictatorMuseveni- if you fear elections, why organise them?

This week marked 5 years since #DictatorMuseveni ordered the murder of over 150 Ugandans in Kasese- one of the many atrocities committed by the regime. As we remember the victims, may we all make a commitment to fight on until there is justice and accountability for these crimes.

Five of these NUP leaders in Kasese District, including the district head have been arrested by the military. Found at a home of one of them doing legitimate party work! Our legal team has been told they're being charged with treason. Wonder why #DictatorMuseveni is against bail?
