Today I am thinking of the men who landed on the beaches of Normandy 76 years ago, who fought and died so that we can be free from the evils of fascism.
We will always be grateful for their courage, and we will always remember their sacrifice.

As General Eisenhower said, when Allied troops landed on Normandy’s beaches that June morning in 1944 the eyes of the world were upon them. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere marched with them.
77 years on, we thank and remember them. #DDay
