Growing older is strange. Like part of me is excited because I’ve only ever been young? But also… I never thought it would happen to *me* per se. And it feels a little rude of the universe to spring this on us. A little jarring.

.@MiamiSeaquarium How is it “world class” to keep an orca alone in a tiny filthy pool for 53 years? Do the right thing and retire Lolita. Find a sanctuary for her. Speak to @Whale_Sanctuary.

The ongoing argument to justify zoos and aquariums is that they’re educational for kids. What are we educating though? Cruelty? Capture? Boredom? Stress? These are not things a kid needs to learn 🙇🏻‍♀️

Wherever you live in the world, please don’t fund aquariums. This is the reality. It makes my heart so heavy. 1 hour of “fun” for families is a life time of cruelty for the animals. We are better than this. Boycott @MiamiSeaquarium.

This is disgusting and painful to watch. Lolita the orca has been living in this small filthy pool at the “world class” @MiamiSeaquarium for 53 years. Hasn’t seen another orca for decades. independent.co.uk/tv/news/miami-…

Captured off the coast of Iceland over 40 years ago. Kiska has been living in solitary confinement at MarineLand for 11 years. How is this legal? It’s unbearably sad to see that nothing has changed since this story broke @JustinTrudeau #FreeKiska change.org/p/free-kiska-t…

Should we all go back to Tumblr? Suddenly feels like a nice idea.

All 3 big social media platforms are now filled with ads. Is nothing pure anymore?! Where do we go for a life with no ads?
