Russia does not have what it takes to seize Odessa. It does not have the numbers of soldiers, types of forces, or capabilities to take a defended city of that size that is using a layered defense and thousands of military, territorial defense, & civilian defenders. #urbanwarfare

Prepared urban defenders have the advantage. In 2016, it took over 100,000 security forces 9 months to take Mosul against 5 to 10,000 ISIS. It took hundreds of thousands of Soviets to take Stalingrad. Russia doesn't have the numbers. Kyiv can hold. Ukraine can win. #urbanwarfare

On my way back from Ukraine now. At a loss for words in all that I saw studying the Battle of Kyiv. We visited Bucha, Irpin, Moshchun, Brovary, Skybyn, Demydiv, Ivankiv and many other sites. Speaking to commanders, fighters that defended the city. #Ukraine #urbanwarfare

IMO #Russia cannot sustain the combat ops it is currently fighting (4 fronts Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donbas, Mariupol, & Kherson). Logistics in chaos, morale to the point of fragging (killing their own officers), illegally targeting civilians w/ missiles, they are scared of #urbanwarfare
