ऐसा शायद पहली बार हुआ है जब किसी PM ने किसी फ़िल्म को तथ्यात्मक सत्यता का हवाला देकर प्रमाणित किया और साथ ही पार्टीशन और इमरजेंसी पर फ़िल्म बनाकर सही तथ्यों को सामने लाने की बात कही। इसका मतलब अब फ़िल्में केवल समाज का ही नहीं बल्कि देश और इतिहास का भी आईना होंगी।#TheKashmirFiles

एक दौर था जब भारत की हर दूसरी फ़िल्म #कश्मीर में शूट होती थी पर घाटी में हिंदुओं के नरसंहार और पलायन के बाद बॉलीवुड कश्मीर को भूल गया।
जिस बॉलीवुड ने अपनी कई प्रेम कहानियां कश्मीर से सुनाईं उसी बॉलीवुड ने कश्मीर के दर्द की कहानी को कहना ज़रूरी भी न समझा।

It was gut wrenching to watch #TheKashmirFiles, as should only be expected when unpalatable truths are finally uncorked after 32 years.

One initially saw only rare, muted words of support from the filmmaking community.
But its runaway success & rollicking public support has gradually been forcing old establishment figures to come out & praise.
