Thank you to all the foreign diplomats who joined us to celebrate our 🇹🇼 National Day. Your continued support for #Taiwan is deeply appreciated by our people & government.
My accepting the Global Leadership Award from the @HudsonInstitute’s CEO John P. Walters & Chair Sarah Stern is in truth a tribute to the people of #Taiwan. We will continue to work with like-minded partners to show that we can & will prevail in defending our democratic values.
A warm welcome to #Indiana @GovHolcomb & his delegation. #Taiwan is proud to cooperate with our like-minded partners to expand trade, boost investment & build more sustainable supply chains in semiconductors & other key sectors.
@EnesKanter Thank you @EnesKanter for standing with #Taiwan & standing up for democracy.
I visited a pharmacy in #Taipei to learn how they’re working to prevent the spread of #COVID19 & ensure people have access to a steady supply of face masks. Truly touched by their dedication to keeping #Taiwan safe & healthy.
This is the mail @Taiwan_CDC sent to @WHO Dec. 31, 2019. “Atypical pneumonia” to #China means #SARS. Patients “treated in isolation” means human-to-human transmission. WHO should focus on fighting #COVID19, not scapegoating victims like #Taiwan.
It was a pleasure to meet with @UKinTaiwan Representative Nettleton today at the Presidential Office to discuss #Taiwan-#UK exchanges on #COVID19 vaccines, the situation in #HongKong, & our commitment to our countries’ shared values.
My warmest congratulations to Indian friends far & wide on #IndiaIndependenceDay. I salute the world's largest & Asia's earliest #Democracy, which occupies a special place in my heart. #Taiwan🇹🇼 & #India🇮🇳 are great democratic partners holding authoritarianism at bay! JW twitter.com/sanahashmi1/st…
Having lived for over a century, these elders have witnessed generational change in #Taiwan. It was my honour to listen to their stories & spend time with them, as the elderly are cherished in our society & it is our responsibility to care for them as best we can.
There was a spectacular show above #Taiwan yesterday, with our F-16s flying against the backdrop of a solar eclipse. That kind of eclipse is rare, but our Air Force is monitoring our airspace 24/7/365, & I’m grateful for their dedication to protecting the nation. 📷:@mna_roc
A good cup of coffee is what you need to get going on Monday morning, so here you go! Pour over / Origin: Nantou, #Taiwan / Guest Barista: Ing-wen
I had a very busy weekend, but I had to take the time to say hello to a very special guest. Thank you to everyone for supporting me & for supporting #Taiwan!
Our diplomats work hard promoting #Taiwan’s image abroad. Ensuring our int’l space is important to the Taiwanese people, regardless of politics. I’m outraged at the behavior of “uninvited guests” at our National Day reception in #Fiji & grateful to our friends for their support. twitter.com/StateDept/stat…
We in #Taiwan are united in our determination to protect our country. In my interview with @cnni, I spoke about what Taiwan means to its people, the region & the world. Full text: president.gov.tw/NEWS/26294
.@DrTedros said there's "No need to use #COVID19 to score political points. We agree! Yet without evidence, #Taiwan is accused of orchestrating personal attacks. This claim is baseless, without merit & further marginalizes the good work in which the @WHO is engaged worldwide. 1/3
#Taiwan is a vibrant democracy & responsible stakeholder in the Indo-Pacific. We welcome other countries to join us in a meaningful discussion on ensuring regional stability, & call on the international community to confront threats to peace in the Taiwan Strait.
#Taiwan's medical workers are putting themselves at risk every day to ensure that we all get through this pandemic. We owe it to them to repay their sacrifice by following disease prevention guidelines & doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
On behalf of all #Taiwanese, I want to extend a warm welcome to Senator Dodd, Deputy Secretary Armitage, & Deputy Secretary Steinberg. We hope you enjoy your visit & look forward to working together to strengthen the #Taiwan🇹🇼-🇺🇸#US partnership.
As the world celebrates the coming of 2023, I want to show you how #Taiwan rang in the New Year. This year, we aim to work even more closely with like-minded friends around the globe. I hope you enjoy a wonderful holiday & welcome you to visit our beautiful country.
Our 🇹🇼 National Day Celebration was capped off with a magnificent fireworks display in @KaohsiungCity last night. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this special occasion, & to all of you for joining us in support of #Taiwan.
China’s government is making a mistake by prohibiting individual travelers from coming to #Taiwan. They are depriving Chinese people of their right to experience our free & democratic lifestyle for themselves, which is the most natural way to improve cross-strait communication.
I’d like to share the beauty & biodiversity of the oceans surrounding #Taiwan for @WorldOceansDay. The oceans enrich our lives & connect us with the global community, & we're dedicated to promoting sustainable marine development to #ProtectOurHome. Photos: Vincent C. Chen

Amidst the uncertainty of the past months, we all need a bit of positivity. I paid a visit to Mr. Lai Bei-yuan, who has dedicated nearly 4 decades of his life to making #Taiwan’s mountains green once more. #IntlForestDay
