We're proud to announce the planned establishment of The Taiwanese Representative Office in #Lithuania🇱🇹. The facility represents real progress in the bilateral relationship & success of efforts to deepen & expand #Taiwan's🇹🇼 ties with countries in the #EU🇪🇺 & throughout #Europe.
Enjoyed a productive meeting with the delegation from the Finnish parliament @SuomenEduskunta headed by @KarnaMikko. I am confident that cooperation between #Taiwan & #Finland, as well as our democratic resilience, will only grow stronger.
Today is 2018’s last day of work for many people in #Taiwan who are ready to celebrate the new year. But not all servicemen & women get to go home for the holidays. I thank our service members & their families for the sacrifices they make to keep the country safe each & everyday.
Our customs, immigration, quarantine & security workers are key to keeping #Taiwan safe. We are especially grateful for their sacrifices during the pandemic, & their high standards that ensure our borders are secure, no matter the challenge they face.

Over the weekend I took @SenCoryGardner for a stroll in an area in Taipei known as Dadaocheng, the spiritual birthplace of #Taiwan’s democracy movement. I was delighted to have spent a Sunday afternoon with a like-minded friend who understands why #TaiwanMatters.
