Today I received a special gift from @Europarl_EN-Taiwan Friendship Group: a statement signed by 155 members who chose to #SpeakUpForTaiwan. The fates of democracies are intertwined, particularly when the fight to defend democracy is getting tougher: #TaiwanMatters.

I enjoyed a delightful dinner with #Nauru President Lionel Aingimea during his transit in #Taiwan following #UNGA, & I was truly touched by his words: our countries are family. I thank him for using his platform to #SpeakUpForTaiwan & our international participation.

My thanks to Speaker Kedi for the visit today. We discussed how a closer #Taiwan-#MarshallIslands partnership can benefit our two peoples & the #IndoPacific. Based on our shared values, I hope our good friend will continue to #SpeakUpForTaiwan.
