He only wrote one screenplay, but it’s an absolute gem of a whodunnit. Why not pay tribute to the great Stephen Sondheim by watching his parlor game cult classic ‘The Last Of Sheila’. (Co-written with Anthony Perkins, no less). RIP x

UK people. I'm thrilled that my first documentary 'The Sparks Brothers' is now streaming on @NetflixUK. If you haven't seen it yet, or don't know too much about the majesty of @sparksofficial, then enjoy. If you have seen it and you do know, then enjoy AGAIN x #TheSparksBrothers

Posting this video because I live for any cutaway of the bemused looking Charlie Watts, effortlessly upstaging his peacocking bandmates by doing very little. Farewell you jazz-loving dapper gentleman drummer. The Sticks of the Stones x

Too sad to conceive that Ray Liotta has passed. If he’d only made Goodfellas, it would be a credit to retire on. But he was incredible in Cop Land, Narc, Marriage Story & much more, especially his searing debut in Something Wild. His entrance at the end of this scene? Perfection.

I’m looking forward to voting in the Academy Awards tomorrow, having watched all the nominees. And while there are real matters of life and death happening all over the world right now, I’d be remiss not to stick up for my crew members who work tirelessly behind the camera. 1/5

Had a blast working with the delightful @Zendaya on an alliterative adventure advertising @squarespace for Super Bowl Sunday. Hope to work with both her & the ‘bonus musical legend at the end of the spot’ again. Enjoy and look out for it Sunday in between your wings & dips x

The 15th anniversary of 'Grindhouse' must mean it's also a happy 15th of the trailer 'DON'T' (Based On The Terrifying Bestseller). Shot on 35mm and then kicked around the edit parking lot to achieve authentic scratches and dirt. Perhaps the most fun I've had shooting anything?

Happy 50th Birthday to @nickjfrost who is to anyone that knows him, the funniest & sweetest person on the planet and who can reduce me to schoolboy giggles all day long. Have loved knowing you for nearly 25 years now and am proud to call you a friend. Have a great day, Big Daddy.

This shot, among many more, broke my brain when I saw West Side Story. Truly brilliant staging. twitter.com/ShaneM_Anderso…

As someone who entirely owes their break to the creative risk taking of @Channel4, I find the continuing push to privatise it completely pointless and depressing. It’s a British success story as it is and should be allowed to continue like this for another 40 years… (at least). twitter.com/guardian/statu…
