The new Joachim Trier movie ‘The Worst Person In The World’ is funny, charming, insightful & also devastating in parts. A few scenes left me broken and weeping. But I loved it. A star making part for Renate Reinsve and my favourite end credit needle drop of the year. Go see it.

Off to see the new Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

USA people. It's come to my attention my first documentary #TheSparksBrothers is now on @netflix. If you happen to love @sparksofficial a lot, only know a little about or you've NEVER heard them, this is the film for you. Get ready to have a new favourite band. Enjoy...

My resolution for 2022 is to spend less time on social media. Don't get me wrong, I love connecting with everyone here & your support of my films last year means the world to me. Just need to unplug, read more books or look at some flowers and shit. See you soon. Love you all x

The amazing @tomjr1998 of #steppingthroughfilm breaks down shots from the Soho trailer. As an obsessive reader of sites like @ReelStreets, I love it. London dwellers, name those streets and alleys x 1/2

Seeing Top Gun: Maverick for the third time tonight (in as many years, which is surreal). I only saw the original once. The new one is as good a reason as you’ll get for the big screen experience. The shots of the actors in the cockpits of real fighter jets are just breathtaking

Others have said it, so I’ll echo the same. I wish the Oscars were awarding all the categories live on the actual show. Film-making IS team work, and we'd be nothing without editing, score, make up/hair, production design & sound. They deserve the same spotlight as any star. 2/5

You will enjoy this. For @VanityFair, I break down some of the tricks in my fav scenes from my career, from Spaced and Shaun, right through to Soho. Prepare for Texas Switches & other movie magic revealed. (Cover your eyes if you haven't seen Soho yet x) youtu.be/nJ0aFq1ve0M

Olivia Newton John so completely dominated the charts and Top Of The Pops when I was a kid, it felt like she WAS pop music. And yes, Xanadu is still a stone cold classic song. RIP x

To my friends in Tokyo, #LastNightinSoho has partnered with Shibuya Parco until 26th December. Head down there to see the real costumes from the film! #ラストナイトインソーホー

Fab #LastNightInSoho art by IG account Suspirialand. Love it. I feel some of these pieces would be the perfect paperback novelisation cover. Beautiful illustrations all.

Here is the very song I named #LastNightInSoho after by (memorise it) Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich. Written by Ken Howard and Alan Blaikley, it was their last top 10 hit of the 60's. I owe Allison Anders & Quentin Tarantino for putting me onto this total gem. Thank you all.
