Happy Birthday to the most dramatic actor I have ever worked with: Mr. Lucas Lee. (cc @ChrisEvans)

Of all the recent 80's reboots, I think the gnawing dread of nuclear war is perhaps my least favourite.

In Baby Driver, Jon Hamm's character is nicknamed 'Buddy', but his real name (heard on a police radio) is Jason Van Horn. This was my tribute to Clint Eastwood's longtime stunt double, stunt co-ordinator & sometime director, Buddy Van Horn, who passed away yesterday. RIP Buddy. twitter.com/MikeBarnes4/st…

Funny, but also a little alarming how this 28 year old clip of 'The Day Today' still remains ahead of the curve.

Happy 12th anniversary to ‘Scott Pilgrim Vs The World’. Am so lucky I got to make this with such an amazing cast and crew in Toronto. And even more grateful that it’s continued to find an audience long after opening weekend. Please stuff your face with garlic bread to celebrate.

I was lucky enough to see David Lowery’s hypnotic ‘The Green Knight’ on a big screen recently & am already planning a return visit when it is released this month. It’s a beautiful Arthurian head trip & frankly a treat to luxuriate in. I highly recommend you venture out to see it.

‘Shaun Of The Dead’ opened 18 years ago in the UK today. If you saw the late performance in the Odeon Camden Parkway on opening night, know that Simon and I were sitting anxiously in the back row to see how it played x twitter.com/thomasduke98/s…

There is no such thing as the greatest movie of all time in any objective sense. That said, AWIL is the greatest movie of all time. Happy 40th to this lunacy x

To avoid any further confusion on this matter, me and Paul would like to supply two recent photos. twitter.com/edgarwright/st…

Let the record show that, on the 11th of May 2006, in Sandford, Gloucestershire, Sergeant Nicholas Angel locked up these bastards for good.

RIP Mike Schank, the sweet funny soul at the heart of the extraordinary doc 'American Movie'. Me, Simon & Nick were obsessed with it and since they included Mike's home number on the DVD extras, we called him from London one night. If you've never seen it, please do immediately.

Utterly transported by the @Daniels 'Everything Everywhere All At Once', a emotional rollercoaster of action, comedy & metaphysical mindfuckery that hits a sugar high for its entire running time. If you complain about a lack of original films and don't see it, you're a fool. 1/3

So @JamesGunn is clearly having too much fun with ‘The Suicide Squad’, my fav comic book movie in many a moon. I really admire his go for broke nuttiness in this, but it’s all anchored in a crisp style that feels like you’re ripping through a 6 issue limited series. Hats off JG x

Of the many addictive rabbit holes you can disappear down on the internet, the most pleasurable is 'Norm MacDonald chat show appearances'. Thanks for all the laughs Norm, very sorry to see you go. twitter.com/DEADLINE/statu…

You don't need me to tell you to see #TheBatman. (You probably have your tix booked already!). But I will say as an aficionado of gnarly car chases, there's a humdinger of a rain soaked freeway chase with the Batmobile. Holy mackerel! You will enjoy x

Was asked to sign two publicity photos of me. Happy to oblige.

Was thrilled to totally immerse myself in the blood and lava flows of THE NORTHMAN last night. Robert Eggers’ Viking revenge epic is magnificently made on a huge canvas, but still has all the meticulous craft & wild imagination of his earlier films. See it on the biggest screen.

Whether you're going to bed or just getting up, there's no better way to end / start your day than watching the Madison dance scene from Jean-Luc Godard's Bande à part. 4 mins of pure cinematic joy.

I'd have liked to see Samuel L Jackson and Liv Ullmann get more than just a cursory mention for their lifetime achievements, let alone Elaine May & Danny Glover who got nothing. I hope I'm not alone in wanting a show with more context and celebration of nominees and winners. 2/3
