The last 24 hours in Hong Kong in review: pro-democracy lawmaker assaulted by pro-Beijing legislator *inside the Legislative Council* - ends up in an ambulance & the Emergency Room. Meanwhile procedure trashed as pro-Beijing committee chair allowed to continue to sit unlawfully.

Update: Apple Daily has accused other white expat Hong Kong police chief superintendents including raptors director David Jordan & Vasco Williams of illegal construction on government land & theft. Short summary: NM reporters were scoping out Dover's property (on govt land) & found an illegal structure; the cops were called & they were arrested for 'loitering'. It later transpired he'd also (illegally) rented it out. But I've done some digging & there's a lot more to it:

Bad week for Hong Kong's premier white boy cop Rupert Dover. 壹週刊/Next Mag's revealed he runs a business on the side, built an illegal structure on govt land he shouldn't even be living on, *AND* rented it out on Airbnb. He took refuge from reporters in a public toilet. Thread:

Update: At least one pro-democracy demonstrator (guy in a brown shirt; visible on streams) has been arrested; while reporters, protestors & bystanders have been threatened with pepper spray.
