Footage from TKO shows a PSHK reporter was violently thrown to the ground by HK Police officers at what had been an entirely peaceful protest in a mall. Rough-handed treatment like this achieves nothing & is just another case of galling unprofessionalism.

Firstly, the headline stats: a fat 62.3% of respondents (selected to be representative of the public) say they support the protests, with just 18% opposed. *Reminder that these are the survey results of a report that claims protestors are 'dragging HK into an era of terrorism'*.

I risked brain rot to read the bluewashed 'independent' IPCC report into the HK Police (concludes the protestors, not the police, are to blame!) in full & can say the only illuminating part are the survey stats, which totally undermines the pro-🇨🇳 camp's own arguments. Thread:

Footage of the crowd discovering the identity of undercover HK Police officers in TKO has emerged. In a signature move, the officers threatened passersby, journalists & protestors with pepper spray. The contempt the police have for everyone on-scene is vile. Vid: HSUSU/編委恒大

So the HK Police now have their own fake reporters to film their propaganda FB live-stream. But real journalists are the 'fake reporters' according to the police. Remember this when they scream "假記者!" at the press. Ironically this guy is the only safe 'reporter' in HK.

HK social media users & bloggers are getting increasingly adept at spotting undercover police; pictures swirl all over FB within minutes afterwards. These are from TKO. You can kind of just tell from their vacant expressions & how they look out of place. Pics: 丘品新聞/Cupid News twitter.com/JackHHazlewood…

Stand News reporting an undercover HK Police officer threatened bystanders, journalists & protestors with a telescopic baton & pepper spray upon his identity being discovered at the peaceful #ShopWithYou protest in TKO. A uniformed officer escorted him away. Blue flag now raised.

During the peaceful #ShopWithYou protest in New Town Plaza, Sha Tin, some fifty police officers charged to the fifth floor, setting up a cordon line & began stop & searches, causing panic. The blue flag has also been raised in East Point City, TKO. Very ominous. (Vid: Telegram).

In Pacific Place, two undercover police officers just aimed pepper spray at journalists & bystanders & threatened them when their identity was discovered, & continued as they left swiftly. Shows how the press & the public are treated with contempt by the HK Police. Vid: 凝政媒體

In her press conference Carrie Lam decried pro-democracy activists for 'spreading lies' & 'stoking hatred through propaganda posters' ...while in front of a huge propaganda poster proclaiming 'The Truth About Hong Kong', without a hint of irony. Orwellian doesn't do it justice.

Summary of the blatantly politicised 'independent' IPCC report into the HK Police: Little criticism; just 'room for improvement' & 'no evidence' of police-triad collusion (!!). Total whitewash concluding pro-democracy protestors are 'dragging HK into an era of terrorism'. Thread:

Today in HK: First protestor convicted of 'rioting' sentenced; govt claims an exam question "hurt the feelings of the 🇨🇳 people" & the 'independent' IPCC report into police brutality largely refuses to make any criticism. Beijing's creeping authoritarianism in HK on full display.

Civic Party District Councillor Andy Yu (余德寶) reports Student Depth Media (深學媒體), to whom the 13 year-old student journalist ludicrously arrested by the HK Police belongs, has been sent a letter by the Labour Dept accusing them of ‘child labour’. He’s assisting both. Mad.

Apple Daily reporting how Hong Kong Police officers in Sha Tin made a blind lawyer suffer the indignity of removing her artificial eyes to 'prove she was blind' when she was attending to a client (an arrested pro-democracy protestor) in custody. Sickening. hk.news.appledaily.com/local/20200514…

Powerful statement & discussion on LIHKG by a Mother who’s 12 year-old daughter was arrested by the HK police for no reason in Mong Kok. She used to see the police as protectors but now sees them indiscriminately arresting kids & supports the 5 demands -> lih.kg/2014353

Stand News: British Superintendents of HK Police Justin Shave & Vasco Williams *PROMOTED*. Shave is infamous for ordering a tear gas canister to be fired directly at unarmed legislator Wu Chi-Wai (胡志偉); Williams for his racist 'yellow object' comments. thestandnews.com/politics/%E7%A…

In addition to acquiescing to brutal arrests by undercover police & the pepper spraying of journalists, New Town Plaza’s management has handed out notices to peaceful protestors threatening legal action for “posting of posters or stickers”. Undercover police at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin have just made a brutal arrest at the #SingWithYou protest to coincide with Chief Executive Carrie Lam's birthday. Holding suspects down with extreme & unwarranted force has become one of the hallmarks of the HK Police. Vid: Telegram

Today HK's police chief took the opportunity to address Yuen Long District Council by publicly shaming a rape complainant & confirming the police are pursuing her arrest for 'lying', & claimed the police 'did nothing wrong' when a suspect died of negligence in custody. Sickening.

Another bad week for Hong Kong's goons in blue. Here's a full account of the HK Police's meth dealing, legislator & homeless guy beating, 13 year old arresting, illegal gambling, & top British cops' public shaming week. A person in detention also died from their neglect. Thread:

Horrendous report of an Apple Daily photojournalist being strangled by police for 20 seconds. Video also shows pepper spray being used liberally against reporters //本報女攝記者拍攝期間,被警員強行箍頸約20秒,一度出現休克,需要召救護車,用頸箍送院治理// hk.appledaily.com/breaking/20200…

Thoroughly unsurprising to see one of the senior British officers in the Hong Kong Police at the centre of horrific acts of police brutality today as Superintendent John Carroll was seen commanding police raptors & liaison officers in Kowloon. These men must be held to account. twitter.com/JackHHazlewood…

There are currently throngs of protestors & journalists being detained on the streets of Mong Kok by riot police *all being shown on the HK Police’s own livestream*. Hi-vis jackets & helmets emblazoned with ‘Press’ clearly seen. HKPF animals targeting anyone & anything tonight.

Horrendous photos emerging of pro-democracy legislator Roy Kwong (鄺俊宇) being brutally wrestled to the ground & arrested by riot police in Mong Kok. Just one of a spate of horrific incidents of police brutality to take place tonight on the streets of Hong Kong. Pics: HKgolden

Riot police have fired pepper-balls at shoppers, bystanders & journalists during a dispersal operation in MOKO mall in Mong Kok. HK-wide there have been hundreds of stop & searches & fines issued tonight. This is how Mother's Day is celebrated in Hong Kong. Vid: STMHK/Telegram.
