We have the possibility to create clean energy, night and day, sunny or rainy. Considering the urgency of #ClimateChange, we don’t have the luxury of excluding nuclear from the discussion.

I'm deeply concerned with situation at #Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Spoke with #Ukraine PM Denys Shmygal; @iaeaorg's monitoring and in close contact with #Ukraine's nuclear regulator and operator. I appeal to parties to refrain from actions that can put NPPs in danger.

Told @UN SC I’m extremely concerned about events at #Ukraine #Zaporizhzhia NPP. They proved that armed conflict in the area of a NPP puts at risk the fundamental principle that the physical integrity of nuclear facilities must be maintained & they should be kept safe at all time.

Today I signed a statement with Vice-President and President of the Atomic Energy Organization of #Iran 🇮🇷, Mohammad Eslami. A lot of work ahead of us.
