8/ While Saudi Arabian military used Swiss-made APCs to crack down on Bahrain protests......With Beijing tightening its grip on HK amidst the Covid-19 crisis, who can guarantee that we won’t be seeing Swiss assault rifles next, found in the hands of HKPolice hunting down HKers?
627
9/ Sales of crowd-control equipment to HK police must end. The free world must work together to stop extensive human rights abuses by cops backed by Communist China. Pressure your local government to sanction Beijing. Say no to a communist Hong Kong.

#younglivesmatter is an English song from Boyz Reborn, a HK band. Currently countless youngsters are arrested, detained or abused by the HK police. This song is to urge the world to pay attention to the crisis that the youth are facing. Check it out.

The thriving #YellowEconomicCircle shows a protest-led economy DOES work.
We've boosted businesses during the virus, while reducing reliance on China.
Let's take this initiative global!

Hey @Google, why there is no search suggestion on "黃色" if we search it on your search engine? Is this political censorship?
(黃色 means Yellow, which is the colour of Pro-Democratic Camp; 藍色 means Blue, which is the colour of Pro-Beijing Camp.)

BREAKING: According to HK01, Beijing will announce sweeping new national-security protocols on #HongKong as early as tonight by listing it under the Basic Law's Annex III — which allows the territory to enforce Chinese laws — thus avoiding the local lawmaking process. twitter.com/hk01official/s…
632
This seems very deliberate in doing exactly what Article 23 would do, but at a much quicker pace. It also will save the LegCo from another prolonged standoff, so that body, of which the pro-establishment camp recently regained control, can focus on the national-anthem bill.
633
Before #Beijing is getting ready to impose the most controversial national security law upon #HongKong tonight. I unusually failed to post anything on my Facebook Page. #Article23 #nationalsecuritylaw #Hongkong
634
1/ On the eve of HK's Tiananmen massacre vigil, Beijing is now scrapping its promise of #1country2systems by circumventing HK’s legislature and directly imposing the most controversial national security law #article23 upon Hong Kong.
635
636
4/ The implication for all foreign organizations & investors is deadly dangerous since this arbitrarily defined law targets any ties with foreign bodies & organizations. Foreign reporters, academics & human right organizations have already been targeted & barred from HK.
637
2/ Although the law is highly contentious in #Hongkong, and widespread backlash broke out when #HKgov introduced the law in 2003, Beijing this time deliberately chooses to ram through this unpopular law by completely ignoring the will of #Hongkongers.
638
5/ Beijing’s move is a direct retaliation on #hongkongers’ efforts to arouse awareness over the past one year. Beijing is attempting to silence #Hongkongers’ critical voices with force and fear.
639
6/ HKers will not scare off in the face of wolf warrior policy on HK. We will continue our international advocacy & tell the truth of China’s authoritarianism to the world! Deep down HKProtesters know, we insist on not because we are strong, but because we have no other choice.
640
Mr. President @realDonaldTrump, I hope you find out what it is soon, and do indeed address the issue very strongly. The bipartisan #HKHRDA, which you signed into law last November, provides some important tools to respond. #HongKong needs the world now. twitter.com/jeffreychngo/s…

1/ [Could you give a brief assessment?]
1.1/ The new National Security Law in HK will kill future democratic movements, since all pro-democracy protests in the city can be classified as attempts of subversions of China's authority, just like how the Beijing does in China.
643
1.2/ More worryingly, Beijing plans to set up a national security agency to enforce the law in the city. This new secret police body will probably supersede HKGov & police forces and launch secret arrests of all dissents in HK, just like Liu Xiaobo and Gui Minhai.
644
1.3/ The promise of “2systems” can no longer be held. The claim of "foreign collusion" will doubtlessly lead to arbitrary political prosecutions since the law is now enforced not by local courts but by a newly established secret police body, just like China.
645
1.4/ China has been notorious for arresting dissents or foreigners in the name of national security or foreign collusion. The so-called foreign collusion is more than an excuse to rip away pro-democracy forces.
646
1.5/ The law also carries deadly implications for all expats living and working in Hong Kong. In fact, Beijing is notorious accusing critical voices by civil society, ex-pats and media outlets of posing threats to national security in Mainland China.
647
1.6/ China is known for its hostage diplomacy by arresting foreigners as hostages to serve its diplomatic purposes. Foreign reporters were also denied renewals of work visas for covering political dissents in the past.
648
1.7/ Therefore, this draconian law, once promulgated, is just the prelude to more oppressive controls on the local circles and ex-pats living and working in Hong Kong.
649
2/ [How do you see this planned law?]
2.1/ The new law is the direct retaliation on HKers' international lobbying efforts over the past year. I will be probably the prime target of the new law since many of Beijing's officials have been criticizing me for attending hearings.
650
2.2/ However, we are just the one who tell the truth of autocratic oppression and police brutality to the world. A few days ago, the CCP's mouthpiece, CCTV, publicly accused Nathan Law and me as the leaders behind the movement even though HKProtest is well known as a leaderless.
