2/ That's why Police watchdog IPCC is merely a whitewashing & propaganda to justify the future bloody crackdowns on protest. When police violence has becomes the elephant in the room, what #HKGov do is to act like a #MinistryOfTruth to ignore all these widespread atrocities.
602
3/ Political discontents can only be settled with the courage to admit the deep-rooted problems, instead of denials and coverups. Hence, I welcome Professor @cliffordstott’s decision to work on a genuinely scientific report to shed light on #hkpolicebrutality.

1/ Over the past few months, #Taiwan has proved the success of #TaiwanModel, with science-driven policy-making, transparency and state collaboration with the whole civil society. Experts worldwide praised Taiwan for setting a great example and proving #TaiwanCanHelp.
604
2/ #Taiwan’s participation is critical, especially after #China’s medical advisor Zhong Nanshan has just warned of #secondwave of infections. Taiwan exclusion from WHA will only have deadly implications & risk #HealthForAll, by blocking Taiwan’s valuable experiences & expertise.
605
3/ In the face of this deadly plagues, we need to fight in collaboration and unity, instead of isolation and intimidation. On #WHA73’s meeting on Monday, I call upon the 194 member states to grant observer status to #Taiwan at the table.
606
4/ I also encourage the world to #TweetforTaiwan. #COVID19 is the biggest challenge of the century. It is a matter concerning the health of the world, so we hope all member states will make a decision with wisdom and courage. #WHACountdown

저는 한국 국민 n.news.naver.com/article/079/00…

[How do you envisage the legislative elections in Sep?] 1/ A worse scenario will be like: Beijing will dissolve the existing LegCo & disqualify all 70 lawmakers once pro-democracy camps win the majority. One of the references is recent statement by China’s office on HK Affairs.
611
2/ The office unprecedentedly accused pro-democracy lawmakers of violating LegCo oaths when they use procedural tactics to block the controversial national anthem and national security legislation. In the eyes of Beijing, LegCo can only serve as a rubber stamp.
612
3/ Otherwise, councillors fail to "show their allegiance to the central governments” and "serve dutifully” as the oath states. In other words, HKMAO is paving the way for a large-scaled disqualification before and after the election.
613
4/ After the dissolution, Beijing will probably set up a pseudo-legislature & directly appoint members. That's not a crazy imagination since Beijing has done once in 1997! After HKers won a majority during 1995-1997, Beijing set up a Provisional LegCo.
614
5/ Beijing directly appointed members and held meetings in Shenzhen. Therefore, history may repeat. However, Hongkongers will still strive for a parliamentary majority since Beijing has already put its most controversial agenda, the national security legislation, on the table.
615
6/ The parliamentary majority is the only way for us to block this evil law. If, at the end, Beijing really dissolves the LegCo and disqualifies all elected lawmakers, it means Beijing is shutting down all peaceful mechanism to resolve political problems and grievance.
616
7/ More importantly, this move will put the so-called promised autonomy under the 1Country2Systems formula to the test. When even the legislature is a rubber stamp, it Is doubtful whether Hong Kong can still maintain its special status as an independent tariff zone.
617
8/ The latter will carry significant implications for international investors. On the street level, it is foreseeable that more protests will erupt, especially when Beijing starts to disqualify all pro-democracy candidates before the election.

1/ Since the CCP’s mouthpiece, CCTV, has recently condemned me as the prime culprit of the almost-a-year leaderless movement, I might face the cruellest round of political prosecutions. In fact, those that CCTV renounced, Jimmy Lai & Martin Lee have already been prosecuted.
620
2/ However, since this movement is leaderless, it belongs to every Hongkonger who has been fighting with sweat and tear for freedoms and human rights for our next generations. In our cause for democracy, my personal future does not really matter.
621
It's essential for HKers to maintain momentum & raise global awareness. Even though Gov has abused the coronavirus measures to suppress any form of protest, we will try every means to call for changes. #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons is one of the means for us. japantimes.co.jp/news/2020/05/1…
