Despite saving many lives in the process, it is disturbing that the regime saw no better way to treat the prospective medical interns' request for deployment than this indignity. We have a country to save, my friends! #Labisa #UgandaHealthExhibition #WeAreRemovingaDictator

Can the regime account for these and many others who were picked up in broad daylight by the military? Their families and our legal teams have done everything to locate them without success.

What a thoughtful open minded and great man @FrencHMonTanA is! You're a champion my brother.

I am persuaded beyond any doubt, that God being our help, the people of Uganda will get the freedom they so much long for. #PeoplePower_OurPower

With this tweet, he closes the case. No gov't entity will dare speak about it again. Muhoozi simply saying, "I am the state, the state is me." The impunity! The fate of despots who have behaved in this barbaric manner is well known. Sadly, none ever learns from those before!

I hope that like you, I can inspire more people to rise up and join this cause for our country's redemption. The journey has been long and bumpy. Hopefully, it will end in victory. God grant that you live long enough to see a #NewUganda which you have devoted your entire life to.

As for Johnbosco Kibalama, he was picked up on 2019. To date, no one knows where he is, except those who abducted him. #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda #ReturnOurPeople

What I can say without contradiction, is that this new attempt will fail, like all those before. Our people just need to be vigilant and remain alert. #WeAreRemovingADictator

We've instructed some of the best lawyers to lead our comrades' legal defence against the politically-motivated trial. 5. Unveiled comrades who were approved to join the @NUP_Ug's NEC. 6. Condemned the renewed abduction of regime opponents and their supporters.

Without any alternative source of income, many of them might now resort to criminal activity to provide for their families. This is always the result when a regime haphazardly conducts large scale operations that have the effect of crippling a particular industry.

I'm in touch with some like minded colleague Members of Parliament discussing ways of assisting the people of Bududa, but most importantly demanding that government puts in place concrete measures to prevent the recurrence of these tragedies every year. #Bududa

UPDATE: The police has ordered my team out of Jinja town on gun-point, and escorted them up to Lugazi. They have beaten some of them, arrested & dragged them onto police pick-up cars and driven them to unknown destinations for no offence whatsoever.

They suggested solutions to maintain US interests without supporting dictators, and will continue engaging with stakeholders and have strong presence at summit to demand accountability and change in Uganda

The tragedy of living under dictatorship! After murdering our supporter & comrade, police took over the body and restricted access. Later in the night, they drapped the casket in an NRM flag! They denied him dignity in life and are now mocking him in death. We shall overcome

This same person in his complaint to Uganda Human Rights Commission is on record saying he was abducted by armed security personnel and gravely tortured. He also made a report at Police stating that since he returned from torture chambers, unknown people had been following him.

I wish to state that this is an amateurish attempt by the UPDF to spin the unfortunate torture of a citizen by the army, which confirms that indeed the torture meted out on Mwesigwa and others like him is sanctioned by the UPDF and other security agencies.
