Expect Splatoon 2 version 5.0.0 to be released sometime before July 31st at 10am UTC, as the revised version of Shellendorf will begin appearing in the stage pool at that time. If I had to guess, it would be at the usual Splatoon 2 patch time of 1am UTC.

Files for the Killer Wail has been added to Splatoon 2 in version 4.7.0. So far, we know parameter data for the "SuperLaser" (the original Splatoon 1 codename is "BigLaser") and the model for it was added.

Nintendo has removed the Ranked rotation pool containing Starfish Mainstage which was supposed to start on September 7th.
This is final confirmation that the update has been delayed along with the Nintendo Direct. Expect the Direct and update to drop sometime before Sept 14.

In case you were curious, it does appear that Nintendo buffed the Killer Wail in Splatoon 2. The radius of the laser is now larger (90 units, not sure about Splatoon 1).

Uh-oh. Seems that a Japanese player with an inappropriate name managed to reach 2nd place on the League rankings during a event. Nintendo had to make a tweet saying that you can be banned for inappropriate nicknames. The entire team's names were removed from their reward image. twitter.com/SplatoonJP/sta…

Nintendo have remotely revoked all digital licenses for the game after Square Enix accidentally sold eShop codes early.
Players were kicked out mid-game with the error code 2819-0003.

"Final Fest: Splatocalypse": CHAOS vs ORDER from July 18th to July 21st. All previous Shifty Stations will appear, has free gear, 72 hour fest.
Version 5.0.0 will be released and all Shifty Stations and night versions of regular stages will be playable in Private Battle.
