Super Mario Advance 4's data includes unused victory poses for all forms of Mario and Luigi, intended to be displayed after beating a level. In the finished game, Mario and Luigi simply quickly walk offscreen after completing a level without striking a pose.

The final level of Mini-Game Island in Mario Party has the player compete against Toad in the Slot Car Derby game. If Toad wins this game, the screen fades out without a message. However, hacking the game to remove that effect reveals that Toad's victory message is "ALL WINS!"

One change added to Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door when it was localized from Japanese was polite shopkeepers. In the original version, they do not thank Mario for his purchases, but in all international versions, "thank you" messages were added for all transactions.
