In 2016, Nintendo published a gift coupon book in PDF format on their website (top). Decompiling the PDF shows that instead of raster images, it contains the original vector versions of Mario character artwork, which can be further separated into its constituent layers (bottom).

In 2007, this set of Super Mario Bros. postal stamps was released in Japan. The stamp depicting Small Mario contains a small inaccuracy, as Mario's hat's brim is 1 pixel shorter than the in-game sprite. Another stamp depicts Small Fire Mario, which is impossible without glitches.

In the Bowser in the Dark World course in Super Mario 64, whenever the Fire Spitter is active, two red pixels can be seen very far away, under the final part of the level. This is the location the fire actually spawns before being teleported to the Fire Spitter one frame later.

In Paper Mario, Herringway is coded as a regular penguin with a custom sprite. By pausing the game before the mayor cutscene, Herringway will load in a "depersonalized" state, appearing as a regular penguin (left: normal, middle: depersonalized). This will crash the game (right).
