In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario's speed is very slightly, nearly imperceptibly, dependent on whether he is moving parallel or perpendicular to the camera. Jumping parallel to the camera makes him achieve 3.88% higher speed.

In Super Mario Galaxy, sometimes two Bomps will be on opposite sides of a wall. This is actually the same Bomp; all Bomps in the game have two faces, one on each end. For the vast majority of the game's Bomps, the second face is stuck inside the wall and never sees the outside.

In the Mario Kart series, Kamek was nearly playable twice, but was removed both times. In Mario Kart 64, he was dropped in favor of Donkey Kong close to release (left); in Mario Kart 8, he is the only driver whose emblem is found in the code, but who is not in the game (right).

Unused Yoshi colors found in the data of Super Mario Sunshine. While the greyish-blue and greyish-purple Yoshis spit water like the temporary green Yoshi state that all Yoshis turn into when they run out of juice, the grey Yoshi on the right spits a unique brown liquid.

In the files of Super Mario Sunshine, an unused enemy named Dorokuri exists, which can steal Mario's hat like a Swipin' Stu. Unlike Swipin' Stus, however, Dorokuris can steal Mario's hat from each other, whereupon they will fly off at extreme speeds.

In the E3 2019 Nintendo Treehouse gameplay of Luigi's Mansion 3, it was shown that the game's goal is to collect elevator buttons, one for each floor of the hotel. For a few frames in the game's trailer, the elevator panel is visible, revealing that the game will have 17 levels.

In Super Mario Odyssey, if Mario flies above Glydon using a Gushen, then uncaptures it so that the Gushen hits Glydon on the head, Glydon will become glitched and begin to extremely slowly ascend into the air. He will continue ascending at this pace forever.

Normally, the items in the Present Room in Mario Party 4 have properly written descriptions. However, the Party Star trophy, obtained by 100%ing the game, has only uncapitalized placeholder text. This is likely due to it being so hard to obtain it was overlooked during testing.

The title screen for Super Mario Advance has darkened edges (left). The lit area in the middle is 160x144 pixels, exactly the resolution of the original Game Boy (insert on right). As a Game Boy Advance launch title, this effect was meant to illustrate the increase in resolution.

In Mario Kart Wii, Wario's Gold Mine contains a texture that appears to be completely blank. Concealed within is a Mii head that may or may not be faceless. An analysis and mockups of what the Mii may have looked like are provided.
