Some brief clarification on the Apu thing cause I feel like I was misunderstood: I obviously don’t think this is the “end of comedy” as many of you pointed out, and I don’t think one needs to be shocking or rely on stereotypes to be funny. I was using hyperbole for effect.

It’s being talked about like Hank Azaria just “came to this moral conclusion” on his own terms, but I think it’s clear, public pressure played its part. I think if you want to change “negative stereotypes”, do it by example not by tearing something else down. That covers it!
