Rewatched ‘Delicatessen’ last night for the first time in a few years and, my word, the further you get away from it, the more magnificent it becomes. Such a well made, brilliantly constructed and funny film. One of the best debut features of them all.

I know the Academy is in a tough position with ABC who apparently ordered them deliver a shorter show, but no-one who tunes in to watch the Oscars is doing so on the promise that it might end 30 minutes earlier. I say, show all the categories, that's where the magic happens. 4/5

Was lucky enough to see some Succession S3. Such pleasure derived from seeing great characters trying to fuck each other over and all the while form endless side allegiances too. The best show about chess since The Queen’s Gambit. Just well written, beautifully performed heaven.

Last Night In Hollywood. Such a magical night at the Academy Museum last night. To be reunited with Anya, Thomasin & @WeWriteAtDawn for the last premiere was really special. I'll also never get over the surreal experience of watching London onscreen in LA. Thanks to all who came.

Thoroughly enjoyed 'Cyrano', a new musical from my not brother Joe Wright. Peter Dinklage is just sublime & in fine voice as he, Haley Bennett & Kelvin Harrison Jr belt out new songs by The National in achingly beautiful Sicily (sometimes on an active volcano). A real treat. 1/2
