Our plan to spend the night in Hoima was frustrated as police blocked all roads. We drove to Migera but police under DPC Patience Namara and OC Byaruhanga ordered all hotels not to host us. We had to spend the night on the roadside, sleeping in vehicles! In our own country!!!

The pictures from Karamoja Sub-region are most disheartening. Very many Ugandans are being murdered in cold blood. The efforts to end this nightmare haven't been serious. The people of Karamoja have been asking critical questions and getting very few answers from the authorities.

Upon my return to Uganda last night, I travelled straight to Gulu to personally deliver my condolences to the family, the people and leadership of Acholi.
I was humbled to be recieved by the prime minister of Acholi this morning and hosted to lunch by the elders. Priceless!

By today, over 6000 boda-bodas have been impounded in Kampala during the operation by Police to 'enforce' traffic law. Most of the affected riders are low income earners who have already been struggling to earn a living in after COVID-19 and its disastrous effect on our economy.
