We unveiled our candidate for the Omoro County. Comrade Hon. Simon Toolit Aketcha has been in the struggle against dictatorship and misrule for many years. He's been tortured, illegally imprisoned and had his election victory grabbed in a crude manner.

For 8 months now, NUP MPs Hon. Allan Ssewanyana and Hon. Ssegirinya Muhammad have been in jail over trumped up charges. The trial is yet to start! Yesterday I checked on them. With great heaviness, they told me the numerous challenges. Such a tragedy to live under military rule!

We celebrated mothers' day at Rubaga cathedral with Archbishop Paul Semwogerere which coincided with the anniversary of the Tuesday class alumni Association- attended by couples ahead of wedding. Barbie and I are proud members of the Association. Happy mother's day once again.

We concluded our two-day retreat with @NUP_Ug leaders from different parts of the country. We discussed various issues of interest including the Party's Code of Conduct, the Sexual Harassment Policy, etc. We re-energised ourselves for the next phase of the struggle!
