5. The M7 regime is known to push false narratives. Dr. Besigye was charged with rape. I was charged with possessing firearms. Our 2 MPs are facing fabricated murder charges. How do we conclude that some accusations are not trumped up, in the absence of a trial envisaged by law?

A few days ago, met several young leaders from different African countries who were in Uganda attending the APRM. Great deliberations about the cause for freedom and democracy. Was amazed at the fear they had for Gen. Museveni and his regime of blood.

The story of Easter is a story of triumph. It is a story of overcoming adversity. It is a story of hope. May that spirit guide us even as we go through these turbulent times of #COVID19. Wishing all who celebrate Easter a very rewarding day. God bless you

On this International Press Freedom Day, I want to salute those Ugandan journalists who continue to do their work professionally in a very hostile environment. Our struggle is about restoring the respect for dignity and human rights, including journalists' rights. Picture- HRNJ

The NUP Govt will zero rate VAT on all domestic consumers & reduce VAT on commercial consumers from 18 to 10%. This will make electricity more affordable for domestic & commercial use. This will give relief to SMEs, e.g. cottage industry, the largest non-agricultural employer.

The people we are up against draw inspiration from violent movements. That is why they resort to violence at every opportunity. As #PeoplePower, we draw inspiration and counsel from non-violent movements. That is why we despise and shun violence even when provoked.

62 year old Onebe Immaculate Mary was abducted by a 'drone' on 6th Jan. To date, her whereabouts are unknown. Police just told the family, she is 'with security'. Countless families going through misery over missing loved ones. #BringBackOurPeople #EndEnforcedDisappearances twitter.com/ntvuganda/stat…

Doctors arrested with highhandedness as they attempt to exercise their right to walk to Parliament to protest for better welfare. Like I always say, we shall all need to join in the fight against misrule because all of us are potential victims- ALL OF US. #WeAreRemovingADictator twitter.com/ntvuganda/stat…

And yes, the people we pay to protect us didn't find any problem breaking into the room of this student, a PWD, beating him up and destroying the few items found in his room! They even threw teargas canisters into students' rooms! How shameless (@ntvuganda footage)

The hypocrisy of the so called intellectuals of our time. You can be sure that one day he will say "I regret presiding over a judiciary that tried civilians in military courts and denying bail to political prisoners. #ChiefInjustice twitter.com/SarahBireete/s…

As Hon. @ZaakeFrancis lies in hospital after grave torture, plus so many other violations, I've been joined by comrade leaders @kizzabesigye1, @norbertmao, @BasalirwaAsuman & @peterwalubiri to write to UN Secretary General @antonioguterres. Using all avenues to end this madness

These young men [@UgandaCranes], just like most of us work hard to raise our flag high, using their talent even when they are insufficiently facilitated. If musical talent is being suffocated, let's not take all the other talent down the drain.

It is a contest between the oppressed and their oppressors. In short, it is a contest between what is right, fair and just on one hand, and what is evil and immoral on the other hand. No one should feel conscripted to support evil, regardless of what you do or where you belong.

I appreciate all of you friends who took time to send me birthday messages, I am very humbled by your friendship. All I can pledge is that I will continue doing my best to stand for what is right.

Unsurprisingly, this is becoming a 'normal' occurrence. That's what happens when there's no rule of law.

The dysfunction continues- sparing no single public entity! How on earth? A Human Rights Commission positioning itself as an arch-defender of human rights violators? Over the years, its own annual reports have consistently pinned security agencies on topping violations! 1/2

Yesterday, I sent a message of solidarity and commiseration to His Grace, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda after the destruction of St. Peter's Church of Uganda, Ndeeba. Injustice against one is injustice against all.

So, who killed Afande Kaweesi and what happened to the eye witnesses of his assassination that were ostensibly given police 'protection' at the time? Who killed Afande Kirumira? Who killed the Muslim clerics? Who kills our people? What happens to the innocent suspects tortured?
