When people push “adapt or die” without first fighting for ethical Ai, nothing and I mean nothing can explain away their reasoning for exploitation of humans.

I am curious with the new info that this was trained entirely on Vampire Hunter D by a Japanese studio, that Tom and Tony would say something different. It feels like Tom and Tony were not asked about the important questions like copyrighted works and using without permission.

The system of “you will be compensated for your contribution in AI” is bullshit. One you cannot track it, and I don’t want to be forced to be a part of this. My art is already everywhere in romance indie cover using Ai. I DO NOT want to be forced into my own oblivion.

There will always be a place and jobs for artists, there will always be places that are ethical. Remember that ML NEEDS us to improve and grow. This is why it's so important to start using Glaze. Yes I know it marks up the artwork, but this is something artists have to do

Adam has Ai covered. Thanks for using your voice twitter.com/adamconover/st…

I've gotten an overwhelming amount of comments from artists being worried about being accused of using AI. DONT BE Just show that you have drawn past Aug. 2022. Many artists did use AI when it first came out we all thought it was going to be a reference gen for us. but,

Everyone is going to have to put on their America hats and sue. I’m sorry but this is what keeps music safe and as soon as music AI makes money you bet they will be sued into compliance. This isn’t over, artists can keep suing, they have no right to use our artwork.

Truly the bottom line of this all: WE DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO USE OUR ART IN AI

Music, will you come into this space now and fight with us? twitter.com/rpnickson/stat…

My thoughts on the international pause of AI/ML development. This is a pause, meant to normalize AI, and become well settled in the industry, while also maintaining and focusing their efforts on lobbying to make this legal. Still the way it is being used is illegal…

Japan has lost its touch with reality, this will kill the industry of animation. The economy is not going to get better with stealing from your animators. Why would anyone care to invest when they can do the exact same for free? twitter.com/StabilityAI_JP…

These are not i2i these are text based prompts from a trained model. Meaning that These ML are actually just infringing on artwork to try and recreate them based on descriptions. MLs would be considered a remix of original which needs permissions from the copyright holders. twitter.com/itzmoepi/statu…

When people say Ai won’t replace artist or Ai looks so bad.. This is a chain of current Ai image gens. Yes these are ALL Ai (trained on various artist) They are training it on us (without consent) to replace us.

You can’t draw for joy, everything you draw must have profound meaning or it’s not art. Uhg twitter.com/ArtAHammer/sta…

Yes nearly every artist sells licensing to their artwork. Very rarely do you sell full copyright. That’s for clients with good reps or AAA gigs. It’s to protect our image and be paid fairly.

“Midjourney is getting so good. You can’t even tell these aren’t real people”
117
I want to address the thought that Ai looks “terrible”. These are all Ai/Ml Down to mobile apps that are simple like Dream to complex ML like Stable. If it’s not regulated everything we draw will directly go to making their ML better. You probably haven’t done the research..

There is a site selling classes to Authors on not only how to "write prompts", but get a stylized cover in an art style you want. Midjourney had stated "You cannot use the generated AI for commercial use". We know it is being used for this, and doing real harm to indies

7 years ago I drew this Tifa Lockhart This is also why you rarely see me post personal “new” artwork I started working professionally about 7 years ago This year I aim to draw more for myself #ff7r #HumanArtists #artistsontwitter

This is really informative for animation. This isn’t about the short term if these Ai layovers look bad eventually they WILL look good, and this could affect animation and anime. Do we really want to lose what we love? twitter.com/G0ffThew/statu…

So many people didn’t want to draw until the process because 100% automated for them and there is no drawing involved Mmmyes I can see you’ve “always wanted to be creative”
123
I’ve gotten DMs of ppl asking if they are being petty but you have to realize: Working professional adults are using our art for their promos, covers, and videos and telling us to shut up when we ask them to stop using Ai. It’s not petty to ask them to stop.

1/4) I saw artists demystifying paintings, so I thought I would too. This is a painting I did in 2019 for Omega Academy. It took me 24-35 hours roughly to finish. This was when I was on a curve of learning to draw better (not that great at drawing) and slow

“Why are artists so protective of their art? They should just let me use it for my marketing for free” This is the same ppl that got mad when we pushed #CreditYourArtist This entitlement is what is growing Ai. There will always be ppl that believe they are entitled to our work
