The folks @CorridorDigital stole artwork from a beloved animated film ran it thro AI, put that on top of their live action and made bank on youtube for it. All to show new ways to exploit artists and "create" on the backs of animators.*

A museum holding “Girl with the Pearl Earrings” held an art contest to replace the image. Someone RAN it thro Ai submitted it and it WON.
This Al/ML image not only won over the others, it’s replacing the image in the museum, and to this man it’s just a funny joke.

You cannot enter chess AI into a contest for chess maters, so why do we allow such tech to compete against artists?
There is no difference between a machine calculating moves in chess in a contest or a machine generating images in a contest.

I was once rejected from a job I was scouted for bc I didn’t have enough Fan Art. They said
“You’ll be working with so much existing IP we don’t feel like you would have fun here”

The craziest thing is artists have ask and stated
"Don't use my art"
and the AI/ML crowd defended that they have THE RIGHT to use our art how they see fit.
Now artists are making a program so our art will be cloaked so our art cannot be used in AI.
