I've been seeing a push for "AI is sentient it needs rights" as a way to market for copyright.
This really shows how uneducated the masses are to tech sadly. AI is machine learning. It is just code.
Stable Diffusion, MJ, Firefly are just code. there is no intelligence.

“they always loved my covers, and now my costs are not a barrier for them to have nice covers like I draw”
I still think about what a slap in the face this is to me struggling for years to make a decent paycheck in art

The argument that photoshop is “just a tool like Ai”, is fundamentally wrong. Photoshop requires a direct skill of learning anatomy, color theory, composition, and knowing how to draw. Tim at Epic games doesn’t even know what the artists there do.

This is what baffles me. Artists by creation of the art have full copyright.
Having full copyright means artists are the only ones that can: use, distribute, or alter the artwork.
Ai is in direct copyright violation by using and altering our artwork.

I really wish all beginning artists knew not to do art competitions for big IP.

Japan is greatly affected by Ai as they are one of the first to try to adapt it. But they leave their artists to be stolen from and lose their jobs.
Artists have to fight for their rights to their own artwork!

The founder of stable diffusion is angry other are copying the free source code and he can’t monopolize it. Saying “Quality not Quantity”, yet again admitting to only wanting to use current art, not public domain, and ending with him admitting he is willing to go behind firewalls

It’s ironic that many want to charge you for their games made with Ai/ML art theft, but believe all the labor and materials for the game should be free.
Because their work is “hard work”, but an artist work is “democratization”, and artist love drawing anyway.

I’ve noticed the ones that claim “I just want to create so I use Ai”.
Do not want to create. They want money, popularity, & followers.
Most artist do not care about follower counts, we just want to draw. No matter who will see or likes.

The amount of times I have to remind pro-Ai that I am a tech. I went to school for programming, I worked with datasets, and definitely know how this works.
If myself and nearly all white hats, and ethical programmers are saying Ai/Ml is wrong.

I very much find it distasteful and vile when the Ai debate continues to use disability as a shield for the well-being of them.
