I want to pay my tribute to the protestors in Mosco and other cities in Russia — they have shown that not all nationals support dictators like Putin, Xi, and many others. We all share the pain of living under a brutal regime. The fight is also ours, to end the dictatorship.

Misinformation campaign is a weapon and war strategy from Russia. The state media RT does the same thing as China’s CCTV, to spread lies for the brutal regime and destabilize targets. Countries supporting freedom should consider banning state propaganda organs from operating.

The courage of Ukraine🇺🇦 changed the world’s attitude towards Putin. The protest in Hong Kong changed the world’s attitude towards Xi. Yet, we need change in action, in building a world that protects people from dictatorship. It’s been failing, and it’s time to stop the failure.

“Anyone who rejects military action as a last resort weakens the pressure that needs to be maintained on dictators and consequently makes a war not less but more likely.” This is actually from 🇩🇪 former chancellor Merkel in 2003, before she came into power. Deterrence needed.

Energy dependency on Russia made the EU very reluctant to act in the first place. We are too dependent on Russia and China — start to decrease reliance and divest from them NOW. Banning all slave-labored product, limiting investment both from and to China is the first step.

1/ The book “Freedom” warns the world how fragile and precious freedom is — thus part of the revenue is donated to the fight for freedom in Ukraine 🇺🇦. We need more doers not talkers. From Russia to China, from right to vote to right from fear, we are all in this together.

2/ Democracy is a project — a long and difficult one, that guarantees no success. But we are determined to walk this path. I am a human rights activist, refugee and definitely not rich. I do it because I believe in helping the people protect democracy; it’s helping your democracy

Don't forget that Xi wants to launch a war on Taiwan as Putin did to Ukraine. Their ambitions are the same. We must think ahead -- to stop the next invasion from happening. Ukraine calls on China to condemn Russia’s invasion aje.io/5anbpf via @AJEnglish

Whenever I see Russian officials commenting on their war crimes, I see hostility and despise to truth. The same happens when Chinese officials comment on Hong Kong. We oppose dictators for their brutalities, and also the way they distort reality and lie to people. It's digusting

Hong Kong government has been notoriously colluding with gangsters to attack civilians, quash protests or simply terrorise the population. Many of my friends were injured in these atrocities. youtube.com/watch?v=ARB-z8…

The withdrawal of UK judges in Hong Kong has been an initiative pushed by all sides of politics. It's a consensus that Hong Kong does not enjoy rule of law. I urge the remaining UK judges in HK to resign as soon as possible. washingtonpost.com/world/2022/03/…

Even though he is jailed for more than a year and doesn't know when he can get out, Joshua never gives up and remains in good spirit. Activists like him, Jimmy Lai and Benny Tai are in Stanley Prison, Hong Kong's highest security prison. These are blatant political persecution. twitter.com/joshuawongcf/s…

Chief Executive Carrie Lam once said she wanted to retire in the UK. Please don’t. Her visa should be declined as a result of her suppression of basic human rights and freedom of Hong Kong people. We should not allow perpetrators like her to walk around like they are innocent.

What a BIG LIE promoted by the Chinese influencers, suggesting that all these massacres were committed by Ukrainian but not Russian soldiers. The Chinese state has been supporting the invasion and hope that they can justify their potential war in the future. twitter.com/TGTM_Official/…

1. Rumor says that the HK govt’s Chief Secretary (No.2) John Lee is the ideal person in Beijing’s eye and picked as the next Chief Executive. It will be a nightmare for Hong Kong people, and signal Xi's intention to continue exerting pressure on this authoritarian police state.

3. He's made many controversial speeches. He has denied any responsibility for police violence during 2019 protest; he had said the "anti-terror" campaign (including “concentration camps”) in Xinjiang is a good learning example; he headed the campaign of cracking down protests.

With @TransworldBooks donating the books, I had my book signing session yesterday at an event in St Albans. All the sales income goes to humanitarian assistance in Ukraine. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere. People resisting autocrats stand together. #StandWithUkraine
