Our support for Taiwan should be firm and strong. Leaders from democratic countries should not be deterred from visiting Taiwan and sharing experiences with the government. Backing down to the Chinese regime will only encourage them to bully more.

Many don't understand the Chinese authority's mentality. Complying with them makes them think that you are weak -- only deterrence can stop CCP's threats. For them, every policy is for domestic consumption. Don't act in a way CCP can claim a clear victory.

Any military actions from CCP to Speaker Pelosi's visit are unprovoked and unjustified. China wants to cut Taiwan off from global affairs, which this idea shouldn't have existed in the first place. The visit doesn't break the status quo over sovereignty dispute; only war does.

Taiwan has every right to host Speaker Pelosi. This is not a provocation - it's just a govt doing what govt does. Allies now must state clearly that any military threats from China are intolerable. We must step up and deter Chinese dictators from launching another unprovoked war.

Thank you @SpeakerPelosi for your continuous support to the democratic struggles in Hong Kong and China. You are welcomed in Taiwan, as well as in all places where democracy is in place. Hope you have a fruitful journey. (Photo taken in London. She wrote a blurb for my book.)

The Chinese regime has been blackmailing other countries by ceasing collaborations on crucial issues to the whole world. They advance their self-interest by holding the world hostage. twitter.com/StuartKLau/sta…

1. It's been a few months since I published "Freedom." There's been positive news for the book, including getting 2021 Foreword INDIES Gold Winner. I want to talk about why I wanted to write this introductory book for the HK protest movement and the moving reviews.

Non-jury trial is set for one of the most most iconic National Security Law cases. Rule of law is violated, and these defendants are charged because of running in a primary election —what an absurd development. My blessing is with all the defendants, including @joshuawongcf.

You are wrong about this. You are wrong about Taiwan issues. You have no idea about people's struggles, whose freedoms are threatened. You have no empathy for the Uyghurs in concentration camps and Ukrainians safeguarding their integrity with all they have. Shame. @rogerwaters twitter.com/rogerwaters/st…

For anyone who says there's freedom of speech in Hong Kong -- this is what speech crime looks like. Tales are not allowed in the city anymore. Hong Kong therapists convicted of sedition over children’s books theguardian.com/world/2022/sep…

The Queen is loved by millions of Hong Kong people. The thoughts and prayers of us are with The Queen and her family.

The Queen's first visit to Hong Kong in May 1975. Years went on, and people still talked about it. May she rest in peace.

Dictators work together to retain control. The collaboration of Russia and China has never been closer, despite the ongoing Ukraine war. They have pledged to reshape the global order and continue a 'no limits' relationship. The risks democracies face are enormous.

Meeting with Russian officials, CCP's no.3 official expressed China's support on "important issues." He said it's Russia's national security interest to take "appropriate measures" regarding the Ukraine situation, and China provides support accordingly. newsweek.com/china-russia-u…

These CCP state agents must be scrutinized. It's a worrying sign. //By using the police “service” stations instead of following formal extradition proceedings, the Chinese government “manages to avoid the growing scrutiny of its human rights record”.// telegraph.co.uk/world-news/202…

The Iranian govt supports Russia’s brutal war on Ukraine, suppression of Hong Kong democratic movement, and many other dictators. Human rights activists should be united and support the Iranian protestors fighting for women's rights and a free country. #IranProtests #ایران

A Hongkonger was dragged into the PRC Consulate and beaten. If the consulate staff responsible are not held accountable, Hongkongers would live in fear of being kidnapped and persecuted. Foreign&Home Secretaries must Investigate and protect our community and people in the UK.

I’ve repeatedly stated it: Hong Kong protestors fight against the dictatorial PRC regime, not the Chinese people. We stand in solidarity with brave dissidents in China and overseas. We have the same demands – to elect govts leaders, and determine our futures. #致四通橋彭載舟勇士

The police confirmed that the Hong Kong protestor was dragged inside the consulate area and assaulted; Instead, spokesman from Beijing claimed that he 'illegally entered' the consulate. This is lying, victim blaming, and disgusting—true nature of CCP. We cannot tolerate it.

Regardless of intl outcry, Hong Kong Trade Development Council had a now-deleted post encouraging businesses to import computer keyboards into Russia. No wonder Hong Kong has become a shelter for some sanctioned Russian Oligarchs. These behaviors should be exposed and shamed.
