The Chinese regime has been blackmailing other countries by ceasing collaborations on crucial issues to the whole world.

Thank you @SpeakerPelosi for your continuous support to the democratic struggles in Hong Kong and China. You are welcomed in Taiwan, as well as in all places where democracy is in place.
Hope you have a fruitful journey.

Taiwan has every right to host Speaker Pelosi. This is not a provocation - it's just a govt doing what govt does. Allies now must state clearly that any military threats from China are intolerable. We must step up and deter Chinese dictators from launching another unprovoked war.
79
Any military actions from CCP to Speaker Pelosi's visit are unprovoked and unjustified.
China wants to cut Taiwan off from global affairs, which this idea shouldn't have existed in the first place. The visit doesn't break the status quo over sovereignty dispute; only war does.
80
Many don't understand the Chinese authority's mentality. Complying with them makes them think that you are weak -- only deterrence can stop CCP's threats.
For them, every policy is for domestic consumption. Don't act in a way CCP can claim a clear victory.
81
Our support for Taiwan should be firm and strong. Leaders from democratic countries should not be deterred from visiting Taiwan and sharing experiences with the government.
Backing down to the Chinese regime will only encourage them to bully more.

This is a dangerous precedence. The PRC has a record of falsifying claims, and the UK authorities should not fall into it. The right to protest against dictators should not be deprived.

It occurred three years ago today, 21 Jul 2019, when the Hong Kong police colluded with gangster groups to randomly attack passersby. It's a daunting day for us.

A friend saw #Freedom in a New York bookstore.
It’s been a few months since its publication — feedbacks have been great, and I'm so grateful readers learned more about Hong Kong and the values of democracy.
It’s an entry book to Hong Kong movement and activism. Hope you enjoy it

Honored to meet with the former French President François Hollande @fhollande. We talked about the political crackdowns in Hong Kong and human rights abuses in China.
I will continue to dialogue with leaders and discuss how we can defend democracy together. It's our mission.

Hope to see you all in Paris on Monday🇫🇷
It will be a fascinating discussion and updates about Hong Kong and the crises in China. twitter.com/Inalco/status/…

4000 rallied at Parliament Square in London to express our demands for democracy in Hong Kong. The world needs to hold Beijing accountable for destroying our city.
Even though we are forced to leave, we preserve and march on.

Attending #Time100 summit with my first #freedomshoe, designed and produced by Tibetan activist Khenzom. It combines our support for Ukraine and Hong Kong, and opposition against dictatorships. Hope leaders in this community can be more prepared to defend democracy.
