To commemorate the inclusion of King K. Rool in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, here is a scene of King K. Rool receiving a celebratory cake from a manga based on the Donkey Kong Country cartoon.

In Level 6-1 of Super Mario Bros. 2, if Pokeys are led off a cliff, they will continue floating in mid-air (top left). Although the game received two remakes in Super Mario All-Stars (top right) and Super Mario Advance (bottom), this issue was never fixed.

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga contains a Christmas tree-themed hermit crab named Hermie III as a boss (top). This is likely to be a reference to the Japan-only RPG Tomato Adventure, released one year prior by the same developer AlphaDream, which contains a similar enemy (bottom).

Naval Piranha's profile in Tetris Attack mentions Yoshi's mother. If Yoshi's mother is intended to be a female Yoshi, this would be the only instance of a female Yoshi being referenced in a Nintendo game, as every single other Yoshi whose gender has been identified has been male.

In Paper Mario, there is a graphical glitch involving the Toad running the Toad House in Shiver City. If the game is paused immediately after Mario talks to him after waking up, upon unpausing the Toad will lose his winter clothes and stop smiling.
