The red coin mission of Ricco Harbor in Super Mario Sunshine is notorious for not letting Mario dismount the Blooper, making it unnecessarily hard to collect the Shine Sprite. However, there is a secret way to dismount the Blooper: by ramming it into the pool float Pianta.

In Mario Kart Wii, each vehicle has seven stats (speed, acceleration, drift etc.), which are each modified depending on the chosen driver. By analyzing all driver-vehicle combinations, it is revealed that the one with the highest stat total is Baby Peach riding the Quacker.

If an online player in Mario Kart Wii is using a heavy male Mii wearing the Outfit A, while riding either the Wario Bike, Shooting Star or Phantom vehicles, the Mii will be displayed as stuck in a T-pose. No other character/outfit/vehicle combinations will result in this glitch.

Plum is a golfer from the N64 Mario Golf whose trophy appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee. For an unknown reason, whenever Plum's trophy is displayed, this pixel art of a gun is loaded into the game's memory. It only appears here and is not used by the game in any other context.

A 1995 Yoshi's Island manga explains that the reason Yoshi cannot swallow Bumpties in-game, unlike most other enemies, is because his mother used to feed him Bumpties as a child and he never liked the taste, leading to an aversion to eating them in adulthood.

In Super Mario Odyssey, Princess Peach is seen in every kingdom after the end of the game, going on a trip with Tiara. The Art of Super Mario Odyssey book reveals there was a concept for Bowser to take such a trip as well, to ease his heartbreak after being rejected by Peach.
