During the peaceful #ShopWithYou protest in New Town Plaza, Sha Tin, some fifty police officers charged to the fifth floor, setting up a cordon line & began stop & searches, causing panic. The blue flag has also been raised in East Point City, TKO. Very ominous. (Vid: Telegram).

Stand News reporting an undercover HK Police officer threatened bystanders, journalists & protestors with a telescopic baton & pepper spray upon his identity being discovered at the peaceful #ShopWithYou protest in TKO. A uniformed officer escorted him away. Blue flag now raised.

HK social media users & bloggers are getting increasingly adept at spotting undercover police; pictures swirl all over FB within minutes afterwards. These are from TKO. You can kind of just tell from their vacant expressions & how they look out of place. Pics: 丘品新聞/Cupid News twitter.com/JackHHazlewood…

Footage of the crowd discovering the identity of undercover HK Police officers in TKO has emerged. In a signature move, the officers threatened passersby, journalists & protestors with pepper spray. The contempt the police have for everyone on-scene is vile. Vid: HSUSU/編委恒大

Footage from TKO shows a PSHK reporter was violently thrown to the ground by HK Police officers at what had been an entirely peaceful protest in a mall. Rough-handed treatment like this achieves nothing & is just another case of galling unprofessionalism.

So the 'bomb' at WTS temple was a student's measuring device. Not the first time the HK Police have mistaken simple electronics for a bomb
As @bewaterhkg says, I wonder what their report will say...

Big tobacco lackeys @EdelmanPR have again bid to do the HK government’s global PR.
A previous multi-million dollar ad immediately became a meme (‘on9’ is Cantonese slang for ‘fucking stupid’), & this vid looks like it was made on Windows Moviemaker 2005:

After being assaulted by security & pro-🇨🇳 lawmakers inside LegCo, pro-democracy legislator Ted Hui (許智峯) has confirmed on FB that he’s been hospitalised with a ‘chest wall injury’.
On what legal authority do LegCo security act on? This is assault.

Pro-🇨🇳 lawmaker Junius Ho (何君堯) & pro-democracy legislator Lam Cheuk-Ting's (林卓廷) hotly-anticipated face off did not disappoint. Lam confronted him with photos showing Ho with triads during the triad attack on 7.21; Ho could only obfuscate & quote the IPCC report. Vid: RTHK

Extremely worrying: Maggie Chan (陳曼琪); HK delegate to the NPC in Beijing, will present proposals to the NPC this week to implement Article 23 (national security law) without consulting LegCo. This would be the end of one country two systems, no question thestandnews.com/politics/%E6%B…

Beijing & the HK govt are weaponising a pandemic to smother HK’s burgeoning democratic movement & railroad through Article 23 (nat sec law).
Any responsible authority would look to accommodate the historic Tiananmen vigil with social distancing measures.

Lee Cheuk-Yan (李卓人), former chair of the group that organises HK's annual Tiananmen vigil, has called on HKers to light candles across HK on the night of 6.4 after the HK government announced a de facto ban on the event. Could be a brilliant upstaging. news.rthk.hk/rthk/en/compon…

Grandma Wong, the HK protestor famous for waving her Union Jack, who's been detained (& uncontactable) in mainland 🇨🇳 for 9 months, has said:
'I've been barred from leaving SZ for 9 months... I miss HK so much. Add oil!'
Both heartwarming & heartbreaking

At last @UKLabour is waking up & smelling the coffee on China.
@SKinnock: David Cameron’s golden era of engagement with China ‘an abject failure’; UK was ‘naive about China’s intentions’.
The global left’s blind spot on China, HK & Xinjiang is ending.

BREAKING: HK01 reports the NPC in Beijing will tonight propose a ‘Hong Kong version of the national security law’. Stresses this is *not* Article 23, but it may well be A23 in all but name. HK waiting on tenterhooks as the final nail in the coffin beckons.

A number of pro-democracy politicians, activists & groups in HK are suddenly unable to post from their FB pages amid reports Beijing is about to propose national security laws that could criminalise 'sedition'. We can only wait for the presser in Beijing. Pics: @studioincendo twitter.com/wongjiyuet/sta…

Regarding the reports of the NPC in Beijing proposing national security legislation in Hong Kong today, Ming Pao (明報) is reporting the announcement will be made at a press conference at 19:45 Beijing time. Until then we don’t know for certain what it is. news.mingpao.com/pns/%e8%a6%81%…

So the presser to announce the national security legislation in HK at 19:45 Beijing time didn't materialise. Either Ming Pao (明報) got the time wrong or something is up. But 2 hours late, it's starting in 10 mins. Hope your mandarin is up to scratch... hk01.com/%E6%94%BF%E6%8…
