2023 is arguably gonna be the best year for the ONE PIECE anime in its 25 year history.
From anime-only viewers wondering how Wano will end … to manga readers desperately waiting to see THAT scene adapted (or THAT one or THAT other one…) fans will get it all in 2023.

OK, here we go:
I’ve joined the ONE PIECE animation staff at TOEI ANIMATION full time.
For the foreseeable future I’ll be working exclusively on ONE PIECE.
In the months & years ahead I’ll be contributing not only as an animator but taking on other (big) responsibilities as well.

One Piece episode 1017 is my storyboarding debut in TV Japanese anime!
I did a ton of work on this episode, so indulge me as I ramble for a minute here.
I storyboarded 25% of the episode. From the 1st sequence, through the transformations & everyone`s first set of attacks.

I drew Layouts, Key animation, & even a lot of douga (final clean-ups & in-betweens) for One Piece episode 995!
This was my debut episode since joining Toei Animation full-time, & undoubtedly the most ambitious animation sequences I`ve ever attempted.

To all the ridiculous people messaging me about how I’m ruining the One Piece anime & turning it into Dragonball, I want you to know I laugh hysterically at all your messages & show them to my wife & friends.
As if I, a single artist have that level of control over the series.😂

For those who haven’t heard:
You won’t be seeing me on the One Piece anime again for a while. I’m working hard everyday but for the next (many) months I’ll be focusing on one particular upcoming episode.
Immensely challenging & a lot of responsibility.
Also extremely exciting! 😁

I worked as an in-house animator at studio Pierrot for over a year early in my anime career. I drew in-betweens for Naruto Shippuden & eventually had my Key-animator debut in ep 430.
Tomorrow, after years away, I`m back on the Naruto franchise w/ Key animation in Boruto ep 204.😁

Here is my “Damned Punk” animation from ONE PIECE 1066. I knew the big reveal sequence had to be something crazy, but it took me a while to arrive at this. I’m glad everyone seems to like it.

I drew key animation for next week`s episode of One Piece, ep 1040. (The big Jinbei fight!) You can see one of my sequences in the "next episode preview" at the end of 1039.
I only did 12 seconds or so. Nothing huge, but it`s an important moment! I think fans will enjoy it.😁

1017 will be the most I have EVER contributed to a single episode of anime. I animated & clean up 2 whole minutes & storyboarded the first 1/4 of the episode making it my storyboarding debut on TV anime!

I drew key animation for the new One Piece opening. I only did a few seconds, but tried to made the most with my time! This is the first anime OP I`ve drawn key animation for. It`s an honor.

If you`re a fan of the animation process (a "sakuga fan") Remember when watching One Piece 1017 that this was done by a studio that`s made a new episode of this series essentially non-stop for 23 years. NO breaks. No Seasons. Yet was still able to accomplish this. It`s unreal.

I did some key animation for One Piece episode 1018. The last few months I was busy with 1017 so I could only do a little bit here. Nothing huge. But I`m glad I finally got to draw Zoro!😁

Dragonball Super: Super Hero is a *lot* better then I thought it would be.
It still has (for me) “Super’s” flaws & some won’t like it just cause it’s not 2D. But the 3D quality, Art direction, and particularly the story *way* exceeded my expectations.

@YourHero711 Yup that was me. And Imma do it again and again and again literally for years.
And just cause I know you don’t like it, I’m gonna make it an even bigger aura next time. Blue and red flames all at once, multiple layers going at the same time.
