“YES. GOOD. GAY.” - me, watching She-Ra

I'm going to wear out so many rocking chairs ranting about this mess in the future.

What is this "good mood" you speak of.

If your show has... ✔️ a hobby I have no personal interest in ✔️ a good-natured, friendly competition ✔️ a British person somewhere ✔️ a tent in the middle of a field ✔️ a twee tone that is the exact opposite of my personality ...then you can inject it straight into my veins.

Now THIS is what they meant when they said "take the red pill." 🏳️‍🌈 #RainOnMe

Gaga's cyberpunk anime era is hitting a very specific sweet spot where gay rights and my love of sci-fi meet

I donated to the Louisville Community Bail Fund and encourage you to do the same if you can. It works to help arrested protesters who are standing up against the murder of Breonna Taylor. #BlackLivesMatter actionnetwork.org/fundraising/lo…

Your racist relative, who you’re always mentioning, is not on Twitter. Tell them how you feel to their faces. Text, call, or email them about how you’re standing with the black community. Don’t allow them to disassociate. Make your allyship known to those who need to see it most.

A reminder that #Pride marches have always been protests. No matter how much social media, corporations, or your friend who thinks it's a party have twisted it. The LGBTQIA+ fight is against bigotry and oppression. #BlackLivesMatter should always be a part of the conversation.

A reminder that history books have reframed these types of pictures as heroic and morally righteous to validate the eradication of oppressed voices. That's why he wanted this portrait taken. We won't let that happen. This is the spitting image of the abuse of power in America.

Celebrities who remain quiet or can't find the right words are speaking up less than the account of a dead dog.

Now would be a great time for schools to revise all those U.S. and World History books that helped some of y'all develop these shitty white-centric opinions.
1393
Children's entertainment supports Black Lives Matter because they know better than anyone that you have to teach anti-racism with your ABCs. Racists can go ahead and boycott, I hope your kids like playing with papa johns crusts.

Listen, y'all need to stop making fun of white gays for their privilege until I'm sitting next to you while you do it.

Y'all have been whitewashing Jesus for thousands of years and then have the audacity to invoke his name when defending your racism.

That video. It's of a peaceful situation where an elderly man is shoved to the ground by a group of Buffalo police where he cracks his head and begins to bleed out with no one rushing to his aid. I won't retweet it because that sentence alone should make you beyond angry.
1397
A second angle of the video shows the man, who appeared to be approaching police to ask a question, only receive attention after protesters who were nearby screamed for someone to help him. A few military personnel then arrive to offer what I can only hope is medical aid.
1398
We've seen too many horrific videos capturing police brutality. There's something particularly awful about the sound of the man's head hitting the pavement surrounded by relative quiet that compelled me to write what I watched. I refuse to be desensitized by it. It's nauseating.
1399
Cops cannot only be held accountable the few times someone happens to film their violence. We should not have to rely on civilians to capture abuse of power. We can't only pay attention to crimes committed against Black people because we see a video. The. Problem. Is. Systematic.

As an Asian who grew up around women who'd only buy creams labeled "whitening" - yes, that shit's racist. Cultures, companies, and celebs perpetuating skin lightening must rectify this. And a lot of app filters are trash too, makin' everyone look like Casper the Colorless Ghost.
