We invite you to join petition (bit.ly/save12youthspe…) & upload photo with #Save12 to urge the immediate return of the 12 HK detainees from China. I wish more people can pass our devotion on and do as much as you can to stand with people of Hong Kong.

I am shocked to learn that HKGov has evidently colluded with Beijing to put us in greater danger, on matters clearly within its jurisdiction. Perhaps we have too little imagined the determination of Beijing to crush One Country, Two Systems. Full: patreon.com/posts/42651539

[Stand with #BTS amid #Chinese trolls' unreasonable attacks]
1. After its inspiring #VanFleetAward speech, #BTS is now slammed by #China’s state mouthpiece and nationalist trolls, claiming BTS "deliberately ignored China’s contributions” in their speech.

3. Clearly #Beijing’s propagandists and #littlepinky are now turning a non-issue into their propaganda campaigns, making BTS as its straw man out of no reason and provoking groundless rage and division among people and fandoms.

4. When our BTS leaders are under unreasonable attacks during these difficult times, we #ARMYs everywhere around the world should stand with them and express our relentless support. #BTSARMYS #FOREVERBTS

From the peak of the city’s iconic mountain, #HKers shined 12 laser beams to call for saving #12hkyouths, who have been detained for 51 days on their refugee journey to #Taiwan. #save12hkyouths #save12

Meanwhile, #Hongkongers living in #Taiwan also echoed the call tonight and urged public attention to the issue at Liberty Square. #Save12

[Finally, I have graduated!]
1. Today, I have received the graduate certificate from #OUHK, confirming that I have completed my Bachelor of Social Sciences (Politics and Public Administration) with Second Class Honours (Upper Divison) by the University's Senate.
1962
2. Throughout my six years in college since the #UmbrellaMovement in 2014, I have been suspended from my studies because I was sentenced to imprisonment. I have also tried taking examinations in prison. Now that I have finally graduated, my wish has been fulfilled.
1963
4. For many of my peers, graduation may be the turning point for the next stage in their lives. But to be honest, I don't share a strong feeling on the issue. With piles of lawsuits and political turmoils in the future, it is not easy, if not impossible, for me to plan my life.
1964
6. In the face of all these uncertainties, it becomes more imperative for me to use every remaining moment in the city's fight for liberty and justice. Therefore, I will continue standing with freedom-loving #HKers and fight for a better future for the city's next generations.
1965
5. Being barred from leaving #Hongkong, it is hard for me to pursue further studies overseas, let alone high uncertainty about when I will be thrown into prison again. The clock is ticking on the days that I am still free.

As @hrw mentioned, I believe countries should refuse to vote for unfit candidates. It's really insane for China that upholds wolf-warrior diplomacy has been elected to the UN human rights council again. The world should hold China's accountability. theguardian.com/world/2020/oct…

I believed #MilkTeaAlliance could create a “pan-Asia” grassroots movement that would draw more attention to social causes in Asia. “Be it Belarus, Thailand, or other places where injustice is happening, we are constantly fighting for the same beliefs."

1/ Underneath #BTS saga, there are worrying signs of escalating Chinese nationalism & tensions between China & the world. In post-pandemic era, political uncertainty piles up as it becomes even more unpredictable to anticipate what issue will strike Chinese nationalists’ nerve.

3/ As these risks will become the new normal, it becomes imperative for all businesses to consider diversifying their markets to migrate all these pitfalls posed by over-dependence on a single region.

2/ China is also gearing up for its punitive diplomacy. A few weeks ago, Beijing introduced the vaguely worded “unreliable entity list”, under which CCP leaders have full discretions to impose economic sanctions on businesses that perceivably don't bow to its political red lines.

World’s leading scholars on China have called for an international front in defense of university freedoms. They emphasized the increased Chinese threat since the passing of HK’s national security law that I also experienced day-by-day.
