After 25 days of incommunicado detention, our comrade Abbas Semakula was dumped somewhere in Industrial Area Saturday night! He says he was subjected to so much torture at the military facility, that drove him into a state of unconsciousness! His colleague Gaaza is still missing.

UPDATE: We've established Nicholas Opiyo was arrested with 3 other lawyers, Dakasi Herbert, Odur Anthony & Esomu Obure. The 5th is Tenywa Hamid, our Human Rights Officer. They had barely had lunch when armed men in plain clothes arrested & swiftly forced them into a private van.

Everywhere the film has premiered it is received with shock and dismay. This film is especially about the sacrifices so many comrades and friends continue to make in our quest for a better nation. I am optimistic that our struggle will end in victory!

While we talk more about those abducted in drones, we shouldn't forget those who have survived being abducted and have had to run for dear lives. Hundreds of our supporters are on the run and in refugee camps in different countries. Many survived by a whisker! #BringBackOurPeople

I've learnt of the arrest and detention of Mr. Male Mabirizi. He might have wronged some people but he's is entitled to due process of law. The judiciary and all law enforcement agencies must uphold his rights and freedoms and accord him his right to a fair trial.

WHERE IS HE? Zimula Denis was abducted from Kyebando on 19th Nov. 2020 by armed men. He was 25. He was taken away with Luwemba Musitafah and Kirya Peter. The three men are still missing- close to two years! Hard to imagine the pain these families have endured.

I've learnt that three days ago, our brother Jakaana Nadduli was abducted from his home and his whereabouts are still unknown. Family members have tried without success, to trace him. We must all condemn this new wave of abductions and illegal arrests in Uganda. Unacceptable!
