Today regime officials graced a marathon with thousands of people. Robina Nabbanja, Diana Atwiine from the Ministry of Health, etc! The same regime has kept the people of Mubende and Kassanda under a lockdown to apparently control ebola and closed schools two weeks before time!

The citizens are asking- is there an outbreak of ebola in Uganda, or is it a stunt being used to siphon public funds and money from donors? If there is an outbreak, does it only operate in schools? Our country is ruled by criminals who are not even competent to run a sub-county.

We all remember how they used COVID19 to carry out grand theft of public funds and money from donors. Of course they also used COVID19 to constrain civic liberties and control dissent. It is a shame that they have made a joke of everything, including public health!

Today we said goodbye to our beloved elder & statesman, Mzee Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere. The outpouring of grief and emotions is evidence of how great a legacy he leaves behind. We shall miss you and always hold your legacy in the highest regard. May your soul rest in eternal peace

I used the occasion to highlight the greatness of this noble man, and the great wisdom he has taught me and other leaders. It is very painful that all his 90 years, he never witnessed a peaceful transfer of power in our country. May we never rest until we fully sort out the mess!

This afternoon, we met with fifty comrades who were recently released from Kitalya by the military court in Makindye. Most of them have been in prison for periods between 1 year and 2 years. Most of them were charged with being in possession of the #PeoplePower berets!

Each one of them has a terrible story of abduction and torture before they ended up at Kitalya. I am delighted that despite the challenges and tribulations they endured, they are still committed to the struggle for freedom and democracy. We shall overcome!

I applaud you Hon. Zaake Francis for making in Parliament today this passionate submission against the rampant abduction of our comrades. This is a matter of utmost urgency which all leaders must condemn and seek an immediate halt to.

It's a pity that instead of steering the House towards a solution, the Dep. Speaker Mr. Tayebwa has chosen to trivialise the abductions as "drama". But again, what would you expect of a man who was captured on camera torturing a Gov't worker who caught him stealing electricity?
