Today while our leaders addressed a press conference at our offices, these military 'mambas' came and parked at the gate, disruptng the peaceful event. Magere, Kamwokya and Busabala are full of military operatives, doing patrols while arresting many of our supporters.

Our comrades appeared at the General Court Martial today for a bail hearing. They have yet again been sent back to Kitalya Prison. The quest for justice and freedom might be long and sometimes frustrating, but in the end, every pain and effort will be worth it.

Today, over 20 NUP supporters and comrades were abducted from Mbale town by heavily armed security operatives and taken to unknown places. Despite the outcry from Ugandans and the international community, the abductions, torture and murder of our people have only escalated!

In Nov 2016, Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu commanded the killing of over 150 citizens in Kasese, including many women and children. He now says they deserved it as he swears in with a Bible! Meanwhile, hundreds of innocent Ugandans are languishing in jail for opposing Gen. Museveni!

Today our brother Apedeli Daniel aka Number 1, was laid to rest in Kumi. He was part of our security team. Like many people I work with, he was constantly trailed. Yesterday we were told his body lay at Mulago, where we found it with severe torture marks. Tough times indeed.

The military court has today yet again remanded 18 of our 35 comrades at Kitalya. They have been on remand for close to 5 months without trial. Glad to receive the 15 who have received partial freedom with stringent conditions. We shan't rest until we're all free in our country

Kyabagu Geserwa aka Pympah is a comrade. Because of supporting me, he's been detained close to 5 months, only released on bail Tuesday. His father has been doing everything to get his release. He passed on this morning. Hasn't had chance to speak with him because he's been in ICU

After 6 months of illegal detention, 18 comrades including Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe & Dan Magic are out on bail! The military court imposed prohibitive conditions but we're glad to have them back. We shan't relent until all the hundreds others are free, and until Uganda is free!
