These five artists were today picked up by security operatives and are being illegally detained. Their crime? Speaking the truth! We shall be demanding for their unconditional release. We're making a clarion call to all artists to rkse and fulfill their historical mission .

The pple of Kyadondo were easy 2convince that Kyagulanyi Ssentamu was the registered version of Bobi Wine in 2017. It's easier 2 explain to the pple of Uganda that National Unity Platform with the Umbrella is the registered version of Pple Power that will be on the ballot in 2021

Deepest condolences to the people of Tanzania & East Africa on losing this noble statesman. President Benjamin Mkapa served his nation diligently & retired peacefully. He cherished democracy. We salute him for his contribution towards the integration of East Africa. Rest well

Earlier today, we launched the National Unity Platform (a legally registered Political Organisation) as the vehicle through which we shall participate in the 2021 election. Our symbol is an UMBRELLA. Full statement: facebook.com/130737598011/p… #PeoplePower_OurPower

Pic 1- A young Ugandan, clad in our attire chokes on teargas. Pic 2- Supporters scamper away from a cloud of teargas. This, as regime apologists hold meetings unmolested! Other than discourage us, these only give us more reason to fight on and on until we are all FREE & EQUAL

The Museveni regime makes past despots look like amateurs! After banning all church meetings & political meetings on account of #COVID, Museveni's campaign agents are using church buildings to hold political meetings to campaign for him. We shan't relent until all of us are equal

Earlier today, as I returned from a radio station in Jinja, police & the military employed so much violence against peaceful citizens who gathered to wave at me. Another ardent supporter, Charles Mutyabule was knocked dead by a military vehicle in the full glare of cameras!

The World Bank is calling on Uganda to scrap tax on social media & mobile money. Never made sense before and now! (openknowledge.worldbank.org/handle/10986/3…) In March, I raised this in Parliament. It was ignored- b'se the regime doesn't care about the plight of the people- only its stay in power.

Always humbling to receive messages of solidarity from so many people, but some messages are exceptional. This man walked several miles to bring this 'trophy' which he designed for months, mostly from dry banana leaves. He came in to say, 'thank you for the work'. So humbling.

A campaign procession by Jane Ruth Aceng, Uganda's health minister, running for MP. She signed regulations banning political meetings over COVID. Campaign rallies stand banned by the regime, ahead of the 2021 election, but politicians aligned with them are doing this. Laughable

This morning, I beat so many road blocks which had been mounted to block me from getting to Jinja to speak on radio. On hearing my voice , they surrounded the station and fired teargas & bullets to disperse the multitude of residents who came to show solidarity. We shall overcome

"Oh, Uganda, the land of FREEDOM, our love and labor we give; And with neigbors all At our country's call In peace and friendship we'll live." The promise of our national anthem and its betray over the years is saddening. The reason we wake up each day FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM

How sad! When Zigy Wyne was murdered, they released a doctored footage. When Ritah was murdered, they claimed CCTVs weren't working. Now, a private entity has footage and they want to confiscate it and probably doctor it or destroy it. This is absolutely insane. #JusticeforTegu twitter.com/ntvuganda/stat…

In Uganda, the state has killed so many people in the name of enforcing COVID related restrictions! The latest victim according to eye witnesses was a 3rd year student of Makerere, #EmmanuelTegu, killed by LDU. We THE PEOPLE can & must stop this naked brutality. #justice4Tegu 1/4

I congratulate the people of Tanzania on this milestone. The leadership in Uganda has been promising middle income status, yet doing everything to hamper economic development through corruption and wrong priorities. Let us soldier on! twitter.com/MagufuliJP/sta…
