22 days since social media was switched off in Uganda. We must end authoritarian rule. Gen. Museveni treats our country like his personal estate! He doesn't like an NGO? Shuts it down. Unhappy with a media house? Revokes license. Feels threatened by social media? Switches it off!

Ironically, government departments, including the police and the military are on social media trying to communicate to citizens, who they have threatened to arrest for using VPNs to access social media! They lack shame; they lack direction- they're tired. #WeAreRemovingADictator

The regime thinks by abducting our people, they can break the resolve of the citizens. So far, over 10 comrades have won elections for different positions while under detention, or those who were abducted without trace. The dictatorship should be very worried. Met with the @EUinUG Delegation. Appreciated the EU for its role in fostering democracy and reiterated our non-violent approach, even in the face of extreme provocation. We hope the friends of Uganda will support the citizens' call for accountability after a rigged election

My campaign team was brought to the military court for a bail hearing today. The ruling on bail has been deferred by 8 days! Some of them are very sick. Seeing that many ordinary courts have been forthright, Museveni now relies on military courts to try all my comrades.

'Panda-gari' is back in full force. Political activists and ordinary citizens now dread these vehicles called drones. Countless Ugandans have been abducted and taken to unknown places. Mukasa Kenneth, a comrade is the latest victim. Kidnapped yesterday, no one knows where he is.

At the height of the most fraudulent election, after blocking observers, cutting off the internet and barring everyone except the EC from releasing results, @nbstv was at hand to assist the dictatorship relay cooked figures. This week, I sent them a protest letter.

Someone tell Gen. Museveni that if he must rig elections, he should be a bit smart! According to EC, he scored 100% at 348 polling stations , & 95 - 99% at many. That all registered voters turned up- no one died, was sick, travelled or just didn't vote! That no ballot was invalid

10 days now, the police & military continue to lay siege on our party headquarters in Kamwokya, Kampala. No body is allowed to go in. They've not given us any reason. The regime is determined to frustrate all our work. We're also determined not to give up. #WeAreRemovingADictator

15 days under incommunicado detention at Makindye military barracks, my assistant, #SelectorDavie was produced at Bombo military court & released on bail; hours after we applied for habeas corpus in the High Court. He tells horrifying stories about the experience at the facility

This has been the situation at my house these past days. Aside from the military and police surrounding us, military and police helicopters have been consistently hovering over our residence in breach of our privacy rights. Cowards! #WeAreRemovingADictator

The High Court ruled this morning that my continued house arrest (11 days now) is illegal & unconstitutional. Several hours later, the military still surrounds my home, blocking access to all! Perhaps (as always) waiting for Gen. Museveni's orders on the next course of action.

The operatives were moving in this minibus vehicle, with concealed private number plates! Family members say he is at Mbuya military barracks. #WeAreRemovingADictator

Kagimu Umar is a young Ugandan who supports change. Working in the printing business, he prints posters & other materials for NUP. Thursday, armed operatives raided his shop at Nasser Road suspecting him to have our DR Forms. They violently arrested him. He's in a military jail!

Yes, for standing and defeating Gen. Museveni in an election, which he resoundingly rigged, I am still under house arrest 8 days later! I thank all friends in Uganda and abroad who continue to stand with us, until we put an end to this indignity. Uganda will be free.

Nigerian human rights lawyer Femi Falana has filed this complaint on my behalf to the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Arrest. We are challenging my continued illegal confinement by the Ugandan police and the military!

This afternoon, the US Ambassador to Uganda made an effort to visit me but was turned away from my gate by the soldiers who have held me and my wife captive for the past five days.

HAPPENING NOW: Heavily armed military and police have once again raided our party offices in Kampala. No one allowed to go in or come out. Museveni after committing the most vile election fraud in history, has resorted to the most despicable forms of intimidation. (ADMIN)

Everyone including media and my party officials are restricted from accessing me. @ZaakeFrancis was arrested outside my gate as he made his way to my house, he was badly beaten by soldiers. He is now in Rubaga hospital. (ADMIN)

It’s now four days since the military surrounded our home and placed my wife and I under house arrest. We have run out of food supplies and when my wife tried to pick food from the garden yesterday, she was blocked and assaulted by the soldiers staged in our compound. (ADMIN)

We are under siege. The military has jumped over the fence and has now taken control of our home

None of these military intruders is talking to us. We are in serious trouble. We are under seige.

Hello Uganda! Despite the wide spread fraud and violence experienced across the country earlier today, the picture still looks good. Thank you Uganda for turning up and voting in record numbers. The challenge now is for Mr. Byabakama and the EC to declare the will of the Pple.
