Our thirty-one supporters who have been in detention without trial for two years now were brought to the Military court martial today for yet another bail application. Unfortunately, the State resorted to its usual delay tactics. 1/3

Congratulations, Uganda Cranes, upon your victory over Tanzania. Your resilience despite a very toxic and disabling environment in which those who continue to mismanage the sport in Uganda expect you to deliver good results is inspiring! May you shall go all the way to #Afcon24.

... and getting VIP treatment, but those calling for their prosecution are the ones being persecuted. This is what happens when you have a thieving criminal regime in charge of a nation's affairs. The humiliation will come to an end! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners

Just learnt of the violent arrest of these comrades of the #TortureSurvivorsMovementUG who protested against the corruption and shameless theft of relief iron sheets meant for the poor people of Karamoja. Those who stole the iron sheets are moving in convoys paid for by taxpayers

"Not all teachers are teachers and not all of them are worth remembering". That's one of my favourite quotes from Dr Patrick Mangeni, my University lecturer; the greatest teacher I know, the man who taught me literature & drama at @Makerere. Thank you sir for the lessons.

Shocked by the death of NTV journalist Edward Muhumuza which occured today morning along the Entebbe Expressway. I condole with the late Muhumuza's family and the entire media fraternity over this painful news. May his soul rest in peace.

He challenged us to work harder and faster on the cause, otherwise by the time we get into government, there will be no more iron sheets. Very importantly, he called on the academia not to remain comfortable while our country sinks. Thank you so much Spire. Pure #Edutainment!

He took a swipe at the ruling class that has normalized corruption and misrule. But he did not spare us either. He roasted us through different jokes🤣🤣 He reminded Eddy Mutwe of how he narrated his torture experience, that was both funny and sad.

Last night at the National Theatre, Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongo of Spire Cartoons treated us to such an amazing night of so much comedy, laughter and learning. He used cartoons, humour and anecdotes to speak about the many things that have gone wrong in our country.

I am grateful to Hon. Allan Mayanja Ssebunya and our legal team for the great work they have done to see that these comrades return. The criminal regime will definitely pay for these crimes against humanity! #BringBackOurPeople

They were being asked what Bobi Wine and NUP are planning! They were beaten and asked about guns. They also told us that they left there over 200 other comrades, some of whom have been there for over four years! I thanked them for being strong and enduring the indignity.

So, after 44 days under incommunicado detention at CMI, they were dumped at Jinja Road Police last night and charged with Interference with Electricity Installation! They have told us of the terrible, gross torture they endured for the time they spent in the torture chambers.

On 7th February, these four young men were violently abducted from Nakaseke. The four are Kabugo Alex, Khalid Sebbi, Kajimu Fred and Ssebunya Yasin. Our legal team filed a habeas corpus application for them which was meant to come for hearing on Monday next week.

So this young man decided make this song sound so sweet even when it's actually a sad love song ?! Uganda has talent! #GVocals

In 2013, our Parliament called the Anti-homosexuality Bill a Christmas gift. Now they're calling it an Easter gift! The TRUE GIFT is to #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners, end extra-judicial killings & abductions, prosecute those stealing from the poor and put an end to military rule!

There was no better way to start the Holly Ramadan than a morning conversation with our own Hon. Shamim Malende and thanking God for the gift of life. Wishing all our muslim brothers and sisters a blessed month.

A civilization is not complete without its art, the highest form of expression of human intelligence- Marcus Garvey.

After over a month after his abduction, Sadam Sadat was today driven out of Mbuya torture chambers, dumped at Kireka Police and charged with terrorism and then released on bond! Many of our missing comrades continue to languish in illegal military detention #BringBackOurPeople

Yesterday, the 'BOBI WINE: the People's President' documentary film was screened in Copenhagen-Denmark. Another opportunity to expose the Museveni regime of terror in Uganda. We'll spare no effort to show the international community what criminals they are sponsoring in Uganda.

I express my deepest sympathies to the people of Malawi and the rest of Southern Africa upon the devastation caused by Cyclone Freddy. My heart goes out to you our brothers and sisters who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods as a result of this natural disaster; ... 1/2

I challenged them to embrace unity, and shun the small divisions as they can easily derail our mission. #PeoplePowerOurPower #WeAreRemovingaDictator

I appreciated them for defying so much intimidation and remaining committed to the cause. I tasked them to do even more work in the coming days and months to further the struggle against military rule.
