You can imagine! As soldiers and police officers go without pay for months, Museveni and his cronies continue to steal and plunder the resources of our nation with impunity. And yet, these are the same people they send to beat and torture citizens so as to keep them in power!

The attempt to bring fresh, baseless charges is intended to punish them and persecute them further. In all these things, we remain confident that our struggle will end in victory! #BringBackOurPeople #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersinUganda

This is an offence created by Section 129 of the UPDF Act and attracts a death sentence on conviction. The regime has been trying hard to negotiate with these comrades so that they sell out and implicate themselves and other leaders in all manner of crimes.

I am glad that despite the torment and torture, they are still committed to the cause. The 28 others were denied bail yesterday. When they came to the military court today, the military prosecutor brought a fresh charge of Treachery against them.

They told us harrowing tales of how they were violently abducted from different places and subjected to incredible torture. One of them had weighing scales suspended on his testicles for several days. Another was beaten into a comma. Their stories are difficult to listen to!

This evening at Magere, we were delighted to receive back these four comrades who were released by the military court after spending two years under illegal detention at Kitalya. The four are Ronald Mayiga, Richard Nyombi, Shafik Ngobi and Kenneth Kamanya.

Dictator Museveni admitting to harbouring thieves isn't shocking, but the casual manner in which he handles the corrupt is. He recently defended thugs who steal public funds "but invest them in Uganda"! He claims to fight corruption but protects the corrupt! We deserve better!

Remembering Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga, who passed away two years ago today. A fearless leader who fought for social justice and human rights, his legacy lives on. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Amen!" Blessed Palm Sunday friends.

Psalm 23:4-6: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for You are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over."

Today, it was such a nice time catching a conversation with various entertainment journalists at One Love Beach Busabala together with my musical brothers Nubian Li, Sir Dan Magic, and Selector Davie.

The arrogant dictator & his brutal son think they can export repression to any country. I already saw some Kenyan MPs saying Gen. Museveni has exported repressive tools to clamp down on them. I hope the Kenyan people never allow this, because they would never love the results.

Here are our alternative budget proposals for Financial Year 2023/24 in detail 📍 twitter.com/NUP_Ug/status/…

I highly appreciate our team at Parliament for the job well done.

Yesterday at Parliament, I attended the launch of our parliamentary front's alternative budget proposals for the financial year 2023/2024. These were my remarks ➡ nupuganda.org/president-kyag…

... who should have been booked places in police cells as soon as the scandal unravelled. Besides demanding for our comrades' freedom, we must keep up the pressure until the real criminals reap what they sowed! #FreeAllPoliticalPrisoners #BringBackOurPeople

... The 8 — Kawooya Sharif, Ssegawa Shafik, Bukenya Moses, Matanda Agustine, Nayebare Gilbert, Najjuma Sanyu, Ndyasiima Nelson & Ssemakula Teddy — have been remanded to Prison until April 12. Certainly, this trial is meant to shift attention away from the iron sheet thieves...

Today, 8 comrades who recently staged a peaceful protest calling for the prosecution of the Speaker of Parliament, MPs, Ministers and other individuals who stole ironsheets meant for the poor people of Karamoja have instead been charged with "assaulting" a police officer...

Many guests have been arrested and some injured in the ensuing commotion after the armed brutes fired projectiles into the peaceful crowd. One day, someone will have to account for these crimes!

We're following the developments in Busujju, Mityana District where a Woman's Day celebration organised by our MPs in the area has been violently disrupted by trigger-happy goons in security uniform.

I also visited and comforted families of the victims. May the deceased students continue resting in peace.

Yesterday, I visited Kasaka Secondary School in Gomba District to commiserate with its students and staff on the tragic events of March 14, 2023 when a Sino Truck lost control and rammed into the school buildings leaving three students dead and nearly 20 others injured.

The Museveni regime may continue oppressing innocent citizens like these ones, but it must know that its day of reckoning is fast approaching! As the saying goes, "the wheels of justice may grind exceedingly slow, but they grind exceedingly fine". 3/3

They now have to wait until next week to learn whether they will be 'freed', or they will have to continue serving the indefinite jail sentence disguised as "remand" that they were condemned to without a hearing. 2/3
